Wasn't Amy in one of YOUR prevous uploads or linked by someone else in this thread ealier??? Thought we already discussed her having a brief comeback. My guess is that Williams indeed got the GH contract and left for goo, so that Y&R went ahead with casting the Barber sisters.

PS: for the sake of looking greedy, could you please reupload those 3 or 4 episodes you had on your last shut down YouTube channel??? I totally missed them which is a shame. Keep the uploads coming; this is muc appreciated :-)

Hmm.....I know there was (or still is) an early 1988 episode where Amy spends most of the episode "bar-hopping" to look for Nina, but she was still on the show for a couple months later......I knew nothing of this 1990 return and i'm sure whenever I get to posting that episode it will lead to some discussion.

Yes I will certainly get to those re-uploads! It's hard knowing where to start because I just got even more "un-released" episodes but I will make a special point to get to the ones I already uploaded......

I wonder if it's easier to just make a single thread of the video fourms for the episodes or just keep sharing the links on here.....

The highlight of that episode was Kay calling Jill a bitch right in front of the minister.....made me laugh.......

The scenes with Dru made me sad that she chose modeling over dance.....the modeling thing is too cliched in soaps.

Nice to see more of the back surgery stuff.

I just rewatched the episode where Billy & Mac meet for the first time (during a hilarious and heartbreaking scene) and I am swooning all over again, especially knowing what comes next. The beginning of one of the best sets of teens on daytime ever, without a doubt, as well as a great teenage love story.

Thanks!

So interesting to read about the cast defection. Whenever this is referenced, it sounds as if Bell just decided to end the original families and do something new (to pair it with the expansion to an hour as well). Here, he says that the cast was leaving in droves and there was no choice. Hmmm. Interesting. It certainly benefited the show.

Thanks. This article makes me even more upset that Kay Alden is no longer involved with Y&R.

I thought I read that they did lose some ratings when they dumped the Fosters and the Brooks, but still, it was the right decision, and gutsy as hell. Frankly, it's one I wish they'd make now.

    •   Thank you! Agreed on both posts. And the comments about Mike Manning are nonsense.
    • I haven't watched yet, but did they explain the current ownership of The Bistro?  Because when RonC was writing, wasn't he applying for work with Sophia?
    • I think Brandon has gotten better in normal day to day scenes, but he’s very over the top when the character is meant to be angry or agitated. I did laugh when she started yelling at Leslie and then when he started to throw all those damn books, lol. He needs an acting coach to work out some of these kinks.
    • I've never found him as bad as some. I think he's always shined in scenes with Vernon, who should be his father. I also think he has great chemistry with Kat and Dani which I hope they tap into more over time. Dani/Martin feel like such a fun and believable Auntie/Nephew relationship.
    • I'm fighting for my life on another board for my husband Brandon and I'll do it here too lmao
    • I don't expect Lois to be the same person she was 25 years ago, but she's definitely lost a lot of what made Lois unique.  It's clear the show doesn't know how to write for her, and the sole purpose of Lois is to hide this Gio secret.  It's a shame she doesn't interact with more of the canvas.  It's a waste of Rena's talents. I like Brook Kerr most of the time.  She can be hit or miss.  I totally get what you are saying about her line readings too.  I honestly think the character really suffers being stuck in the Curtis pairing.  She's much better than Tanisha Harper's Jordan lol.
    • Friday and yesterday's episode is what daytime television should be. The other shows airing could take a page from yesterday's show.  I loved the rage, hurt and anger Nicole unleashed on Ted.  Daphnee should be up for an Emmy nom for these scenes.  It broke my heart to see how Dana had locked Eva out.  I do feel sorry for Eva.    I am still bumfuzzled as to why Leslie/Dana went to the DuPree's and asked them to accept Kat UNLESS Eva is really Kat's twin (and really Nicole and Ted's daughter that maybe they though they lost or an embryo Dana/Leslie stole??) I loved how Anita and Vernon both shot her down.    Ohhh and let me just say Friday and yesterday was the MOST fire I have seen Martin have since the show started.  Maybe Brandon Clayborn is coming into his own with the role finally.
    • You've been seeing him all along. You just didn't know it was him, I guess.
