Susan Hayes is the true lynchpin of DAYS history by how she is always bringing people like this together. So grateful for posts like this.

Always fascinating to see former headwriters from the past cohort with current DAYS players. Makes you think.

Is Susan pitching for a brand new DAYS?

Thanks @jam6242

Lovely photo. Nice to see Jean Bruce Scott. A shame how much the show screwed up Nick.

I've always thought since he was randomly created one day, there is no reason why he can't have a younger brother come to Salem with just as much notice.

Somebody in the Soap press really needs to sit for an interview with Jean Bruce Scott.

I’d love to hear more about her time on Days.

It’s always cool seeing former headwriters and cast members together like this it really reminds you how layered the history of Days is

Susan Seaforth Hayes really does feel like the heart of the show connecting so many different eras and people

And Liz Chandler was such a strong memorable character I honestly think it was a missed opportunity not bringing her back sooner for visits in the 90s and even in the years after there was so much story still there

Well Lisa Rinnas book and hot tea about Robert Kelker-Kelly was interesting, to say the least!

Not surprised at all by what Lisa said about RKK. He had a reputation for that behavior during his Days stint.

And even with that tumultuousness going on, the actors still had amazing chemistry and made everything work.

Yeah, the only time Billie / Bo had any momentum was with Lisa and RKK. After that it was just obvious who he'd end up with.

Lisa Rinna Says Robert Kelker-Kelly "Made My Life a Living Hell"

“Behind-the-scenes we hated each other,” Rinna wrote. Declaring that Kelker-Kelly was “horrible to me,” Rinna mused of his behavior, “I’d go so far as to say [he was] verbally abusive. He was passive aggressive, manipulative, and played weird mind games,” she alleged, adding, “I had to work with him every day, often half naked to do love scenes. If I didn’t do what he wanted, he’d give me the silent treatment.” She characterized the actor as “a ticking time bomb” and revealed, “I never knew when I arrived on set each morning if I’d get nice Robert Kelker-Kelly or dark Robert Kelker-Kelly. He was unpredictable and it was exhausting.”

The actress confided, “I regret that I stood up to Robert, because I was too young, and I was not willing to make waves at my awesome new job … I still lacked assertiveness and self-confidence when it came to men.” She then asserted, “If Robert Kelker-Kelly was in my Housewives orbit today, he never would have gotten away with his behavior.”

While the tension between her and Kelker-Kelly had a negative impact on Rinna’s DAYS experience, she praised her female co-stars, including Kristian Alfonso, who returned as Hope (or “Gina,” as the amnesiac character was known at first) in 1994. “Kristian and I commiserated and looked out for each other,” wrote Rinna. “All the women on DAYS did.”

When Kelker-Kelly was fired, Rinna and co-star Kristian Alfonso were given their “own full-time security detail.”

Rinna told readers, “I wasn’t worried about physical harm, but NBC had to cover their ass. We had rent-a-cops parked outside our houses and trailers for three weeks and were driven to and from work.”
