Without looking at what forum this was posted to(just saw the ones to the right), at first, I thought you meant this was an article from "Star Magazine" about "Good Christian Bitches," like Amy Grant, Mrs. Joel Osteen, etc.

Nevertheless, this show sounds like good, soapy fun. As long as there is something in the formula that somewhat distances it from Desperate Housewives and Sex and the City(Cashmere Mafia and Lipstick Jungle were way too much like those two shows to be different), the show should do well.

I hope the title makes it past the pilot stages. It will be great to see affiliates in rural areas get antsy over the title.

It kind of does (sound good), but I'm always wary of shows with such... titles. It's sort of fecal/provocative.

The guy who penned the pilot also wrote Soap Dish and The First Wives Club.

I would be very...VERY surprised if this title makes it past the pilot.

First I thought it could be an article of Star magazine, second I assumed it was a quote from Star, that shrew that used to be on The View, but after actually checking the thread out, the series sounds...interesting. I agree, it's time showrunners try to break the Desperate Housewives and Sex & the City mold and go with something different.

I remember most of SON hating DH's title and being sure it would scrapped before the first episode. Obviously we were wrong.

All of these shows blur together for me, really. They get old really fast.

I thought it was about Star Jones either saying some asinine statement or hosting some show with special guest co host Sherri Shepherd

Of course ABC got it.... which also means it'll probably be yet another DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES clone. I really do hope they break away from the mold and do something dark and fun.

Good Christian Bitches, based on Kim Gatlin's book Good Christian Bitches, was written by Steel Magnolias and The First Wives Club scribe Robert Harling is described as "Desperate Housewives in Dallas." It centers on Amanda Vaughn, a recently divorced mother of two who, to get a fresh start, moves back to the affluent Dallas neighborhood where she grew to find herself in the whirling midst of salacious gossip, Botox, and fraud. The project was one of Lee's first buys this season and landed at ABC in September with a put pilot commitment after a bidding war. Harling, Star and Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment are executive producing.
