I hope you all had a great Brenda Day! How many women did you call a whore yesterday?

Well, there ya have it, folks. Marissa and Scott scratch the itch, and we've got ourselves a full blown quadrangle! Every participant has feelings for the other participants of the opposite sex!

Marissa has no problem getting a hug and "Po' baby" from the woman who sold her as a baby. Mhm.

I liked that little Annie/Kendall/Greenlee scene.

Annie: "Hey, I knew you would be back"

Kendall: "You miss me?"

Annie: "Not really"

Annie: "I guess Ryan's fanclub is here"

Greenlee: "We don't need this right now"

Annie: "Tell Ryan I took Emma home"

Annie: "You guys hear"

 Nah, y'all leave me out of this. I'm enjoying retirement.

That's what makes it so great, really. "If you two are still here when Ryan wakes up---.....oh of course you'll still be here when he wakes up." And neither one of them could say anything because it was real talk. JR is no prize either, but at least Annie pretty much has a monopoly on his goods. Greenlee and Kendall might as well say, "Ryan, you must wake up so we can party like it's 2004."

I agree. They definitely have more chemistry than JR/Marissa or Scott/Annie. Plus, now JR & Annie will have justification for sleeping together in the future, so it's all good!

Loved Annie today. I was pleasantly surprised when she interrupted them and her comments were right on the mark.

Both Annie & Ryan were quite funny in that scene.

Now for the rest of the episode, I really liked Caleb today as a support for Krystal, who seemed to have some remorse for selling her child, and as a foe for JR. I'm not sure I believe that Caleb won't use Marissa against the Chandlers as he claimed today.

I expected to hate Kendall more than I did, mainly because she acknowledged that she and Greenlee are hardly best friends at the moment and seemed reticent to join Ryan & Jake's moronic plan even though she did relent (thank you Kate Hall!).

    • Poor Philip. I appreciate how seriously his and Xander’s scenes were taken though. It felt like real drama and not like a big joke. You could actually feel Xander’s pain and anger. It adds another dynamic to the Kiriakis family storylines and I’m looking forward to the effects that this is going to have across the canvas. I can see them weaving Kate and Roman into this storyline as well. And it would be really nice if this somehow helped cause conflict for Stephanie/Alex too, especially because of what Alex did today. With any luck, Stephanie will be furious about it.  And I’m glad that Sarah has Maggie to confide in about her secret. I also liked seeing Steve and Shawn (and their matching jackets

) continue to be on the case. Kevin, revealing everything to them is another interesting turn in this storyline. Plus, it seems the writing has improved for Shawn as well.
    • TBF, I don't think we've seen her interact enough with the "have-nots" to know if she is or isn't. It's possible, but I don't think you can say that from her interactions with Eva and Silkpress.
    • You're right - though I did confuse his name with an actual actor who was on Dynasty.

    • "Might" is not "is". And I was talking about the specific case about her attitude to Eva.
    • But she can still be a priveliged elitist. She might have the same attitude to anyone from 'the wrong side of the tracks' whether they had an agenda or not. Nicole seems to be an outlier in her family. Her parents, kids and sister seem to think themselves above reproach.
    • Damian's clothes have definitely been a specific look -kinda reads 70's pimp to me . I guess it's a trend?? but it seems more suited to Holden. JR is 51  and I guess Damian is supposed to be a little younger but it looks a little odd on him in my book. But at least they're trying. The men's clothing has been bland/generic for years-either suits or basic casual stuff interchangeable  b/w them.
