Why? Considering their recent casting coups this is amazing.

The previous Noah was just fine.

And Drew Garrett has the acting talent of a piece sh*t....God I cant stand him. So much so that I may just stop watching Y&R if this is true.

He was one note on GH - Angry. He can't do subtle. Has this been confirmed yet? If it's so, Y&R can have him. Lately he's been having a "career" much like GF and TR - b*tching in the press 'cause no one else is interested. The greatest justice in recent soapland was DG NOT getting the Emmy.

This makes him a pretty good fit for today's Y&R, sadly.

If Y&R is going to do a showy recast to prop up their terrible writing again, this is the best one I've seen so far. He's an excellent choice for the role regardless of the state Y&R is in.

Maybe they'll try that Corbin Fisher idea

I like Drew Garrett but I think his particular brand of intensity may be wrong for Noah Newman. I liked Schmidt in the role and the way he called his parents to account. There was an honesty and innocence there, and I liked the world-weary way he treated their shenanigans after a while.

Drew Garrett is good at the sudden fits of rage -- I hope he remembers to bring some wistful soulfulness.

Rafe(having been dumped for a woman by "kiss on the cheek" Brian) unwinds from a long day at work and pulls up his laptop to check out the updates on the amateur gay porn websire "TomCasiello.com"(Maria is honoring history by naming characters after people IRL the way Bill Bell and Brad have done over the years.) The tag for the day is a split screen of Rafe looking at 19 year old Noah's photo(unaware of who he is) on the site as Noah returns home to Sharon and Nick.

Noah and Eden have broken up for reasons that they don't know about. Rafe is at Crimson Lights grabbing coffee and recognizes the guy in the movie. Rafe walks up to him, coyly smiles and says he looks familiar. Noah says, "I don't know what you're talking about."

At the Labor Day Barbecue hosted by Granny Cooper, Noah is extremely unsupportive of his Aunt Victoria's relationship with Billy which leads to the two of them arguing. Abby invites Rafe to be her date to the BBQ. Rafe runs into Noah, Abby introduces them and the Rafe and Noah begin to connect the dots. In an empty bedroom at the Chancellor Estate, Rafe corners Noah and says it's cool, it's okay to be gay. Noah says "I'm not gay. I just did it for some quick cash." Billy, walking to the bathroom, overhears the tail end of the conversation and hears the name Tom Casiello.

Billy investigates and discovers with the click of the internet that Noah was an amateur gay porn actor. Billy calls Tom Casiello(Special Guest Star Jeff Griggs AKA Tony Sinatra) and tells him to fly up to Genoa City from Burbank to chat with him. Tom tells Billy that Noah did appear on his site.

Billy exposes Noah Newman on the cover of Restless Style. Disappointed Sharon and Nick. Proud Abby says they can both be reality show stars. Victoria and Nikki giggle and gasp and talk about Victor's politics. Victor is too busy saving Meggie from the Gulf Oil Spill to know what is going on at home.

But, Tom Casiello has an unexpected connection in Genoa City. He feels like he has seen Gloria somewhere before or that they are connected. Gloria reveals to Jeff that she gave a child up for adoption years ago before she met Michael's father. Rafe and Tom Casiello get drunk and go up to a room at the Athletic Club to adjust each other's collars and rub cheek to cheek. What Rafe doesn't know, however, is that Casiello is bisexual and has a wife who shares his business. Maria Arena(played by Sarah Buxton) comes into town and shows Giggly Heffa who's boss while trying to make out with her at the same time. What Casiello doesn't know about Maria is that she's a post-op transsexual performer. Billy discovers this when he tries to sleep with her and discovers that somethings not quite right. But sleeps with her anyway.

But Maria Arena also has a shocking connection in Genoa City, Phyllis finds a letter from her mother that makes her believe she has a sister out there...

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Even with all the name nepotism and "in" jokes, I would gladly watch what you wrote over anything we have going on now (TumorJana on the run with HeroinChic, while Chlamydia tries to track them via their cell phone providerzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz). Especially if Sarah Buxton shows up! Poor Sarah, now typecast as hooker/psycho lesbian/transsexual.

I want to see this story now! Especially if it gets Griggs and Buxton back in daytime (and Griggs painted a portrait of President GW Bush that he gave to the President, so Maria might be more inclined to hire him). This is the best story I've heard for Y&R in ages...

Sorry kids. Looks like former General Hospital star Drew Garrett (ex-Michael, #2) won't be appearing on The Young and the Restless. The actor will not be taking on the role of Noah Newman, previously played by Kevin G. Schmidt. Garrett's former co-star Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina) put to rest the rumor running rampant by tweeting,

Latest: RT: tweet birds.Drew Garett is "not" heading to Y&R to replace former Noah Newman. I spoke to him 2nite.
