I particularly enjoyed The Locher Room's tribute to Marj Dusay. I'm curious to know what other actresses were in the running to replace Carolyn Jones on Capitol. I'm almost positive John Conboy would remember if he was still with us to share. Anyone know who else tested for the part?

There was a SOD article with early speculation that Beverlee McKinsey may star in Capitol before casting was announced. This was after Texas and before she joined Guiding.

I know Marla Adams subbed for her on some occasions when Jones was unavailable

Slightly off topic, but according to footage from the documentary Wise Guy: David Chase and The Sopranos that premiered last night, Maurice Bernard auditioned for Tony Soprano.

Makes sense, given how much hype he got when he played Sonny the first time around. I wonder if that rejection is why he went back to daytime for good.

Considering what David Chase wanted, I don’t think Mo ever had a chance 😂

Not sure if this has been mentioned before.

Frank Dicopoulos auditioned for Will Jeffries on GL.

I can't even imagine how that would have been.

Recast within a month?

I can't remember what GL's shortest recasts were, but likely so.

When Aubrey Dollar quit we got Kit Paquin for two months than Mandy Bruno as Mariah til the end.

That's laughable! He could NEVER carry that show! I'm just imagining him never making eye contact and overusing the stutter!
