I love Eva LaRue but trying to picture her as Rosanna is kind of out there. I wonder how Allison Sweeney would have worked as Victoria on Y&R.

--Nicholas Coster and Quinn Reddeker were both tapped to play the role of Alistair Crane on Passions before David Bailey got it.

--Linda Dano was in talks for a role(Gloria?) on Y&R but didn't get it.

--Maree Chatham was considered for the role of Rachel on Passions before Sharon Wyatt got it.

Interesting! Those two were my ideal Alistair after David Bailey unexpected death! The character became so cartoonish after David Bailey portrayal. That man played the hell out of Alistair Crane! Maree Chatham should have been Katherine Crane. Linda as Gloria Abbott? I don't see it.

For a long time I thought Paulina was created with Judi in mind. I guess if she auditioned for Vicky that can't be true.

So they considered recasting Amanda in 95 after Tucci was fired?

Oh wow, thank GOD that didn't happen. She would have made an awful Gina & from what I hear, was a real PILL to work with, especially on DAYS.

Totally disagree with that- I think she would have been all wrong for the role. I actually could see her more as Vicky.

Krista Tesreau said in an SOD from the early 90s that she auditioned to play Gloria on AMC, and that it came down to her and another actress (Teresa Blake I assume). She said she was surprised she got that far because she didn't feel like she suited the role.

Frank Dicopolus's wife, Teja Anderson, auditioned to replace Krista as Mindy.

Richard Steinmetz and some other guy named Todd both auditioned to play Trucker, and were given other roles.

I don't really see her as Vicky either, but the choice for Amanda seems totally based on a passing resemblance to Tucci. Only role I could really see RS as was Jenna when Rena was younger, or maybe Cindy (?), the girl who was with Grant towards the end. If Rena cut her hair short too and just kind of let it rip, I could see her playing someone life that.

Apparently Mary K. Wells was asked to be the leading lady on DAYS opposite Macdonald Carey (I assume this would be Alice), but couldn't, because she would have had to have taken her kids out of school.

She was 15 when 70s show debuted in 1998. I cant recall any role being that young on SuBe. Maybe it was a very minor role for a few episodes
