For one thing, Stephanie might have had more love interests (if Susan Seaforth Hayes had accepted the role). Not to knock Susan Flannery in any way, but she's never had any sort of romantic chemistry even with John McCook's Eric.

Santa Barbara offered the role of Augusta Lockridge to Jane Elliot, but I guess she turned it down, as Louise Sorel was cast.

Elissa Leeds in an interview when she was on Gh stated that she was offered the role of Hope on GL (she had played it as a child in the 60's) and tested for Samantha on OLTL, but instead went with a pilot with Patty Duke.

Yeah She Was Hope On AW In 1966 and GL from 1968-73. So maybe It Was After GH she xould have returned in 84

No,it was late 70's,probably before they went with Roussel on GL and when Julie Montgomery left OLTL. The pilot with Patty Duke was a period western titled something like "The Wild Women of Larabee".

Soap Vet James Wleck (Ben, Ryan's Hope;, Jack, OLTL ; Linc ATWT) Auditioned For Jasper Jax On GH In 1995 But GH Chose IR

James Also Met With GL Twice Around 2005. One Was For a role He would have gotten but his wife had just signed a teaching contract and James didnt wanna be bi-costal from his family. Another role on GL later came between him and another actor, the other actor got the role. James did not specify what the GL roles were.

When Passions started in 1999, they originally considered John Reilly, Charles Keating, Roy Thinnes, John Forsythe, Dennis Parlato and Jed Allan for the role of Alistair Crane. I think the best one they ended up with was David Baily before his death. Once they finally nabbed John Reilly towards the end, the character became too cartoonish.

McKenzie Westmore originally auditioned for the role of Gwen and Liza Huber auditioned for Sheridan.

I agree about David Bailey! He was the best Alistair, and that was a great time on Passions when they casted him as Alistair. I wish I could find his passions work on Youtube, but I can't.

Kristi Ferrell auditioned for GL's India. Betty Rea felt she was wrong for India, but right for Roxy.

Roy Thinnes Or Charles Keating As Alistar On PASSIONS Could Have Been Great. John Reilly was Too Cartoonish IMHO

I thought I had heard somewhere that they had wanted Charles Keating for the role of Alistar on Passions. Perhaps I am wrong about that though.

My Thoughts on this original list

Laura Allen As GL's Michelle: That Works and would be better than NSA

Jason Brooks As Austin On Days: HOT!!!

Dylan Bruce Or Jon Prescott As Phillip On Days: I Belive Them. They should go for the recast this time

Brock Cuchna As River, OLTL: I Liked Him as Paul Cramer Better Than David Tom

Carrie Genzel As Vicky YR: Why Didnt This Happen?

Jon Hensley Could Have Made A Great Jake Martin On AMC

Lisa Lociero would have rocked as GH's Lois

So Glad Camilla Scott Was Not Frankie On AW. Too Bad She Had To Go Mess Up Melissa On Days For Over a Year

David Tom As Joey: No way

Julianna Margilues as Maria AMC: I Could See That But JM's Career would have been so different No ER Or Good Wife

Daniel McVicar as Ridge, B&B: Why Didnt They Do This. Ron Moss Is Still Green after 24 Years

Nolan North As Steven Webber GH: Could Have seen That as well

Julia Roberts as Linda Warner AMC: Maybe She would have been good but Melissa Leo Was Just Too Good in that Part

Sharon Wyatt As Gloria On YR: SW would Have taken Names In this role, Damn CBS

For some not on the original list

Patrick Duffy As Clint Buchanan Would have been interesting To See

Julia Roberts also auditioned for Kelly On SB when RWP left. She would have been great

Nick Stabile auditioned itinally in 1996 for Nikolas and in 2004 for Steven Webber. I Could see him fitting Both those parts well.
