Yes she is. Beth Ann would have looked more like Cole's older sister, not his mother and Im glad that casting didnt happen

What's the ages?

I believe SH is 43/44 and BAB is 29. She'd have been about 24 if she had been cast as Marty which would have made no sense almost 15 years after her famous college story

Cynthia Preston tested as GH's Summer before the role of Faith was created for her.

Maeve Quinlan tested for AMC's "Dinah" (I assume that was Di).

Names rumored as recasts when OLTL fired Kale Browne as Sam:

Gregg Marx, Dennis Parlato, Randolph Mantooth, John Martin.

Kind of off they'd even consider two actors who had been fairly high profile on OLTL (especially Parlato).

I think Dinah was a code for Dee Kozack a role that was featured in the A&E AMC Bio in 2002. It was a role they ended up scrapping

Greg woulda been good. John Martin had already played John Russell on OLTL from 1986-89 and 1991-92 and on GH in 1992, so maybe thats why ABC passed on him for Sam.

Kinda funny that the Sam recast happened what before LIVE WEEK & Dennis Parlato was seen at the casino in a scene. Remember matt at the end of each of the lIVE shows, saying I see Dead people and then the dead character was the one who showed the end credits

That SOD issue also mentioned a new, 19 year old love interest for JR, named Sydney, with a "heart of darkness". Was this supposed to be Amanda?

Gregg would have been great, since he had such chemistry with Hillary B Smith from their ATWT days. But that role didn't deserve a good actor, Sam just sucked.

Robert Parucha (Matt Miller Y&R) auditioned for Jeff Hartman on Loving and Jamie Frame and Grant Harrison on AW.

very interesting. it's telling that they he came from a top-rated show, was involved there in several heavy stories and yet couldn't land any other part. sometimes acting skills are apprently needed for a job...
