June 22, 201015 yr Member So I'm not quite sure what it was, but I really liked Sami today (6-21). I think I actually don't mind her when she isn't screechy or trying to cry. Also really enjoyed the scenes with Sami and Stephanie; I think they have good family chemistry. Sami is at her best in these situations. I think the show keeps trying to change her, grow her, mature her, but then they fallback onto this sami. Its so annoying. Im ready for an adult mature sami to emerge and stay. Sami & Steph are great, i wish the show hadnt dropped their relationship they built up around the time ej had stephanie kidnapped. They made a makeshift brady family with steph, sami, caroline since marlena/kayla were gone and it worked well. If she was an aunt to lucas or sami she would still be Allie's aunt......her great aunt ha, family connections is not my area. lol.
June 22, 201015 yr Member I forgot to ask this last week, but was the Laura/Bill/Kate scene the first time they've been in a scene together - same with Bill/Lucas from today's episode. Did Bill ever appear on the show back in 94/95 when this revelation was revealed? Christopher Stone played Bill in 1993-1994, and was part of the Who Killed Curtis? story which revealed the secret. This seems to have a lot of that story. http://www.youtube.com/user/daysmyway
June 22, 201015 yr Can someone explain me the videotape because I didn't understand the logic of it. What I got out of it was: Stefano needed the Congressman's vote for a construction project, so he used Maddie (who was a hooker) to tape the sex, so Stefano could blackmail the Congressman. But when the Congressman got physical with Maddie, Stefano jumped in and killed him? And Stefano knew everything was being recorded, right? If so, why would Stefano kill the Congressman when he knew it was being taped? It was confusing. I think Kate killed the Congressman. When he jumped up to go after Stefano who entered the room, Kate came into the room as well and hit the Congressman over the head with the lamp. In the present, Stefano told Kate that she saved his life that night. That's why Kate was so worried about what Madeline had on them because she was involved in what happened that night.

When Sami came into the Horton house last week and greeted Jen, she also said hi to Nathan and Stephanie... and I was thinking about how stupid it is that Steph and Sami don't have more of a cousin bond. It would be a good way to give both of them a talk-to and get Sami out of her storyline bubble (the show has been REALLY good about not isolating characters by storyline, except Sami). I really hope they pick that back up.
June 22, 201015 yr Administrator So today was another episode that ended with possibly ANOTHER false tag (if Carly doesn't tell the truth tomorrow or something/someone interrupts her) in the stupid feckin Dan/Chloe storyline. Anyway, there were some highlights in today's episode: the young Jennifer flashback (my God, young Missy Reeves was so gorgeous. She still is but....back then....WOW!!!! ). The family doctors scene with Bill/Nathan. I suspect Mike was going to be in that scene too, for a three generation of Horton doctors scene, but Roark couldn't make it. The cousins scene with Melissa/Jen. Too bad Hope couldn't be there as the third female cousin. I also loved hearing the old background music (like in Lucas and Mike's flashbacks). Christopher Stone played Bill in 1993-1994, and was part of the Who Killed Curtis? story which revealed the secret. This seems to have a lot of that story. http://www.youtube.com/user/daysmyway 90's Reilly! What a gold mine!!!! I haven't watched that storyline since it first aired. Thanks, Carl!! This made my day. Ah, okay, that makes a little more sense. I just thought the whole setup was pretty bad. Thanks.
June 22, 201015 yr Member I've said before that I'm a pretty easy customer and I mostly love what's been going on, but I CANNOT HANDLE ONE MORE GODFORSAKEN SCENE of Chloe almost telling Daniel the truth or talking around the truth or "getting caught" or anything else. Enough! This is literally four days' worth of material stretched over a month. Monday's scene with Maggie, Bill, Laura, and Jen was terrific, though, just the way they took the time to touch upon Mickey's sudden death. And I'm really grateful that we're getting to see small things like Jen and Lucas hugging, Kate and Lucas having that chilly phone convo, etc. I'm pretty sure every regime in the past 15 or so years would've skipped all those beats. Oh, and I finally saw the scene where Sami referred to Jen as Allie's cousin, and it seemed either like AS ad-libbed the line or just flubbed it and no one caught it. It wasn't really written into dialogue or anything. I do remember, back when they were doing those commercial break trivia things last year (I miss those, btw!), they said that Alice has three great-great-grandchildren: Scotty Banning, Claire Brady, and Allie Horton. So apparently no one involved with the show understands any part of Allie's lineage.
June 22, 201015 yr Member I wish they'd keep Melissa around. With Nathan in Salem and Maggie recently widowed, it would make sense for Melissa to return to Salem and move in with Maggie. Then, bring Michael Leon back as Nathan's dad Pete Jannings, and bingo!

June 23, 201015 yr Member What was the point of that random Mia and Chad scene?? LOL Anyway, there were some highlights in today's episode: the young Jennifer flashback (my God, young Missy Reeves was so gorgeous. She still is but....back then....WOW!!!! ). omg that was the best part of the ep for me. Great Tuesday episode. Oh, and I finally saw the scene where Sami referred to Jen as Allie's cousin, and it seemed either like AS ad-libbed the line or just flubbed it and no one caught it. It wasn't really written into dialogue or anything. I do remember, back when they were doing those commercial break trivia things last year (I miss those, btw!) That part seemed ad-libbed to me, to. And omg I have no idea what happened to the commercial break trivias on DAYS. Those were cool.
June 23, 201015 yr Author Member I think Ali Sweeney said cousin on accident and they were too lazy/cheap to redo the scene. I wish it would hurry up and be 11, so I can watch on Soapnet. Alice dies tomorrow.
June 23, 201015 yr Member Is Pete Nathan's father? Off-topic: what happen to Pete and Ivy's child? It's never been mentioned on screen, but when Mark Hapka joined the show, it was reported that Nathan was Melissa and Pete's son. Nathan is the child Melissa was carrying when she returned for Bo and Hope's botched wedding in November 1996.
June 23, 201015 yr We finally got an Alice/Jennifer flashback. Missy was so young there and I'm guessing that scene was from 1986. Some nice Horton family moments today with the baking of the doughnuts, Jen and Melissa with the scrapbook, Nathan and Bill talking about Tom and Bill and Maggie talking about Mickey.

Oh I never heard that, I know Melissa was preggers during that time, but never heard of her and petey getting back together offscreen. Nice nod at history when Melissa mentioned Glenn. Surprised Victor or Roman haven't been over to visit the family.
June 23, 201015 yr Author Member Surprised Victor or Roman haven't been over to visit the family. Where in the hell is Roman? Have we even seen him since he was mugged? Josh Taylor sucks, but he should be around. His daughter is in constant frontburner story, yet we never see him. This man should be fired, or at least moved to recurring, but he remains on contract because he is one of Corday's golfing buddies.
June 23, 201015 yr Administrator Alice's death doesn't get the last scene of the episode? Instead it goes to stupid Chloe/Dan? Just another disappointment. SCREW YOU DAYS!!!! My hate for Dena Higley is slowly coming back after a year of not going off on her.
