I kinda detest the fact that her return hinges so heavily on what Katie Couric wants to do. Ricki > Katie. I get that Ricki's older and a mom now, but I hope she wouldn't take her show to such a mature/wise/informational place that she won't have room for some real juiciness. The beauty of her show was that she had these outrageous topics/guests and treated them with common human dignity. I'm all for her coming back! He used to have some pretty in-depth stuff back in the 1990s. Geraldo was alright as well. My favorite was Sally Jesse though. She was awesome. I used to rush home from school to watch his show (it aired at 4pm in my hometown). I hated Donahue. He always came across as an arrogant ass to me. But I did enjoy watching Montel Williams. It's basically Ice-T vs. Tipper Gore from 1990, and it's EVERYTHING I want in a talk show. Tempers flare, people speak from the heart, all of the feelings are real. And as a result, no one is made out to be right or wrong, everything has a good point to make, and it's just...intelligent conversation to me.
