when Kimberlin declined they should've cast a big daytime name to play Sarah, Sheila's sister. This is just too stupid and how many dopplegangers can one show have? LML and MAB have used this waay too much. And two are running around at once!

Why can't the press call MAB out? Kimberlin Brown or not, this story could've been somwhat salvaged in a campy way. It's been a nightmare from day one. And how can Ryder and Daisy be Sheila's kids? What about Mary and Diana? Do they exist? Why aren't either of them involved or at least mentioned? Both of them knew SHeila was their mother so they should know Ryder and Daisy too.

And Sheila with four kids? Please! And don't even go there with these kids being Tom's. That's tooo ridiculous.

Kimblerlin, an actress whose played utter sh*t onscreen for the right price ($750,000 for B&B: Terror Island), seems to have, as you've illustrated, hit the point where her artistic standards could not be compromised.

From what I've seen, which is very limited, it's a true clusterfuck of a storyline.

dang, Kim Zimmer misses out on yet another role! Can you imagine her in a brunette wing pretending to be Sheila's sister? LOL

Totally agree.

Mary hates Sheila. She went off to live with her father James Warwick. It's safe to assume that she cut off all contact with Sheila and disowned her as a mother.

As for Diana, we don't even know for sure if she was Sheila's kid. Sheila just happened to have a baby, and everyone just took her word for it that she was Sheila's child. For all we know, Sheila was using a stand-in child to get her licks in at Ridge and the Forresters.

The door remains open for Kimberlin Brown's return. Pheila can still be explained away as Sugar. Sheila could say she's been in hiding since she left in early 2006. This would create some angst with Ryder and Daisy and Sarah if they found out she led them to believe she had died.

if these are in fact Sheila's kids, it would have made much better sense to have just brought on Diana and Mary rather than creating brand new brats. What they did is only further convolute the mess thats been created

But Mary wouldn't have worked because she wasn't evil, she hated Sheila and wouldn't have been part of her or her aunt's evil plan. Diana could have worked but people would've whined about her SORASing. I would've written it that Jana turned out to be Diana.

Maybe we are supposed to believe that Sheila gave birth to Ryder and Daisy in 2006 and they were SORASed. Or maybe it will turn out someone other than Tom Fisher is Kevin, Ryder, and Daisy's father.

Meanwhile, I think Roscoe Born will be popping up in newly-created flashbacks soon enough.

Erica was ill-defined at best and hasnt been seen in 8 years. ALOT can happen in that amount of time. She definetly wouldnt be well known to Y&R fans and the writers could shape her character however they wanted. Not that it would matter bc they've been writing alot of characters pretty bad. Im not advocating that Erica should have returned for this story but I would have found her inclusion more buyable than this rewrite with new mystery kids coming out of nowhere with a recreated pat with Tom which never existed

Jamey Giddens at DC did trash the story and the dopplegangers in his recent ratings report...although he did have a "Gee, I really love Billy/Victoria and that Miller magic!!" post too, I guess as cover.

Billy Miller is magical, but Amelia Heinle is not. That couple sucks.

Back on topic...

Wouldn't it have been wild if Shawn Garrett were the father of Sheila's twins and not Tom?

You can't actually think Maria's brain would have room for a good explanation.

It's when you need explain the story in a million retcons when she really does her magic.

Well, that makes this plot twist more acceptable - except, not really. Back-to-back "double stories" is just as bad as running them concurrently.

    • There are no dumb questions here, we've all known each other long enough to fill in information without shaming each other.  We want you to be happy @carolineg.  Your POV as one of the few women here is vital. So, please, I hope you never feel as if any question, idea, or opinion is ever silly or stupid.
    • I think his full name is Chadwick.  I remember, back when the previous actor was playing him, someone called him Chadwick a couple of times.  It may have been Stefano.
    • I didn't like those two sleeping together, but I suuure liked seeing BF in them. Wiggle and all. Just sad about the waxing of the chest.   Same.
    • It’s strange. I wonder if the writers at that time had worked with him somewhere else and had a relationship? That time is murky AF to find info on. Rachel Ames in effect left the show at one point in the early 80’s and she is credited like she was there until JFP. Tristan Rogers also took various contract breaks that were not short, and websites also credit him one long stint from 1981-1992. So many people come and go in short succession in 1982-part of 1983. I know they lost a lot of viewers when Genie left, but the show somehow survived yearly at number one through like sheer force of will.
    • In that way, at least we were fortunate.  The Daniel Pilon/Ron Raines decisions...not so much.
    • Letting Brennan put it in yet again while smirking over his shoulder... any day now! She's got him just where she wants him! I do think ol' Jack will be dead by February at the absolute latest. They have set him up as a counter-heavy to Sidwell, forcing poor Joss to work his next scheme or threatening to have her sent down for treason. Once he croaks I still deeply fear we will be subject to Valentin and Carly, partners in crime to lovers, possibly out to find out 'who killed Jack'. Anna was at her best keeping Sonny at arm's length and often somewhat cold, which she only really did (for better or worse) off and on during Carlivati's tenure. But Finola gradually got too emotional over Sonny, Jason, etc. and was allowed to do that onscreen too much long ago. Mulcahey brought some of that steel back, though Finola still managed to choke or quietly sob through some of that material as Anna found her way there lol. She's a brilliant actress and she did a good job with that stuff in '24, but now we're back to the same old and it humiliates the character whether she knows it or not.
    • Listen, I am all for Laura Wright wearing silly wigs and glasses if there was a point.  So far she's just been nice to Brennan and made out with him.  How evil lol!!  Even though I have been told Brennan loves her the writing was never there.  It's so low stakes.  Carly should maybe talk to her daughter and have an adult conversation instead. Laura and Anna look foolish.  I really don't have an issue with either being friendly or at least having some affection for Sonny.  I don't get both of them wanting to have a parade to announce how much they love him and how valuable the friendship is.  C'mon, Laura basically tolerated Sonny because of Luke until Lulu/Dante got together.  Anna likes Sonny because Robin did?  There really isn't much more of a reason for Anna to give him the time of day besides that.  They aren't lifelong buddies.
    • It is so dumb and is dragging on already after a couple weeks. By the time Carly wraps this up Joss will be running the local branch office. And yes, Laura deserves better. It's like they tripled down on this Sonny apologia stuff with her and Anna after the Mulcahey saga.
