Really Bellcurve? I like Nathan

He's DAYS good and he's kind of hot. But in general ... meh.

The character is a snooze though.

Nice guy characters tend to be like that, and they need a strong story. AMC's Tom Cudahey was technically a snooze, but he got some decent stories that made his character miserable, so he wasn't actually a snooze. Nathan pining for Melanie isn't really enough to make him interesting, but he is likable and harmless and I imagine in six months or so Nathan will be all over the show when Melanie and Philip's marriage combusts.

He's not a bad actor by any means, but the Melanie/Nathan/Stephanie storyline is just beyond stupid.

Make up your damn mind and pick one already. Though, if I were Nathan, I would never be in love with an annoying twit who acts like she ingested Pixie Sticks laced with acid. But that's just me.

I think he's a decent actor. It just hurts that he's acting with Shelley & Molly the two worst actors on the show.
