It's amazing to watch Atlanta Season 1 and see how busted up Kim and NeNe look... they both look atrotious! And even with the money, nobody told them BEFORE they started filming that they look a hot mess? lol Lisa and Sheree looked good right off the bat. (DeShawn isn't even worth mentioning)

Sometimes I think about how Nene looks compared to then to now. Talk about an evolution! Speaking of Nene there was an urban magazine talking about the biggest winners and losers of 2012 and Nene was the main picture on the cover with the words "Winning" under her name.

A pre-op! LMAOOOOO. She did look like a man in her argument with party planner when those veins popped out.

Right in the middle like she should be. The star from day one

Thats Jennifer from Basketball Wives and Mimi from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. I thought Mimi was Marlo till I read the caption. Think either girl could fit in well with this cast even in a recurring capacity? To me, Mimi not so much, but I think Jen could have a few years ago had she not done BBW. She was married with issues and didnt seem as ratchet and hood as the rest of the women on her cast. She was bouji and presented herself higher and think a RH type show would have been a better fit for her.

I still don't think Jennifer ever acted as ratchet as Tami or Evelyn, if NYC ever had a black housewife I could see her doing it. She doesn't seem like an ATL kind of girl. Maybe Cynthia could do a crossover, she's friends with her as well and Cynthia seems so happy when in the Big Apple.

Miami

Overall I thought the reunion was boring. I thought the best bit was Leah shutting down Ana, who is clearly getting ballsy so she can try and secure a spot on season 3. Her lame attempt at trying to be relevant at the reunion reminds me of Cindy from NYC as neither had much fire or dared confront any of the women during filming so this sudden change comes out of nowhere. I hope Andy is smart to see right through her and just cans her

The previews looked good though. Elsa gets a great line: "Im a very good friend but Im an even worse enemy". Looking forward to Alexa vs Karent

    • No. Ruth had an extramarital affair with David while married to Joe.
    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
