OLTL's is only about 30 seconds. An extra twenty to fit the whole cast wouldn't hurt.

Yeah, it's annoying how short the opening song is compared to GH and AMC.

Does OLTL rotate their opening every day, like depending on who's in the episode??

I cant remember cause I havent paid attention to the credits in a bit.

Yes, there are 2-3 different versions of the opening credits, but only Erika Slezak is in all of them (and rightfully so).

I love the current short opening Days uses. I always felt the long one just goes on too long. This one is short, to the point.

I also love the current short B&B opening, and hate the long one. The short one just fits so much better. I hate the long one because it just looks tacky. And it doesnt fit the show at all. And the character and actor names tossed in at every random direction is just horror. I loved the classic one.

I would like Y&R's if they ever updated it. Its a great opening and fits the show perfectly. But the lack of updates kills it. Just go to a title card. I love those cheesy late 80's opening. I hate the porn opening.

AW's late 80's opening is a fave of mine. It was just fun. I liked the last opening too.

I love Edge of Night's 80's opening, i think its the 80's. It has some bright colors and the actor shots in it.

I like OLTL's opening, all of them, but have never loved one.

I loved AMC's 2003ish opening with the gold and white and the names. I really like their current one. I hate that 90's one with the wood desks and the white background pictures.

The best soap opening ever, for me, is GH's Faces Of The Heart.

I have never cared for an ATWT opening. The only GL opening i liked was the 2002ish one with Joan Collins.

This is true. I am not a fan of the one with the desk but i dont hate it. I HATE that one with the white shots of pine valley.

As long as DAYS kept the Macdonal Carey voiceover, and the hourglass apart of it I wouldn't mind an opening with cast shots.

I disagree.

I prefer the short opening over the long one. But i always prefer shot openings. B&B's included. I love that most primetime shows now use a title card or a opening under 10 seconds.

I also love that Days has the mid show bumper too.

The short Days opening reminds me of the shortened Passions opening that just featured "You are my passion for life". It's not as good as the long one.

As for cast shots, they're tacky, and all soaps would benefit from removing them.
