Members Sylph
She looks fabulous, but I can't stand her. She is so... artificial and wooden, it's unbearable. Though I do admire her disciplined life style. A lot.
Members DaytimeFan
I absolutely agree with you. She looks amazing and has plenty of friends, both in front and behind the screen...but there's something about her I don't like at all. But yes, her discipline, very admirable. Members Mr. Vixen
DaytimeFan, what do you think of Leslie Charleson's facial work? It has stirred up a lot of talk...Not sure if has been discussed in this thread before though...There's so many pages, I can't remember.
Members Sylph
You must've written about her "jobs" here, correct? Do you know who her doctor is? I presume so, but I also presume you can't reveal.
Members DaytimeFan
I can't recall if I have...this thread is a phenomenal 63 pages long! Raquel admits to Retin A, suncreen and Olay products. Allegedly, she's had a facelift, brow lift, eyelid work, several breast augmentations, chemical peels and veneers. I don't know who her doctor is, but I do know he's in Houston.
Members quartermainefan
RW is like this uberhuman. She was sort of this generally accepted definition of beauty, where if you said to someone "well, she's know Raquel Welch" they will understand what it is you are saying. The only male equivalent I can think who has become a human definition of the concept of good looks is probably Brad Pitt. It doesn't make a difference if you even find them good looking, if you were to say to someone "you're no Brad Pitt" I think the meaning would be clear. Members DaytimeFan
Another Carousel Ball of Hope gem... Donna looks absolutely lovely, for a woman hitting 70 this year (just like Ms Welch), she looks fabulous. Joan looks a little more human than usual...but still, those lips! Members DRW50
Donna looks great. I wish she didn't look so pained though. Joan looks better than she has in some other photos over the last few years, although the neck and lower face seem so different than the frozen tundra above. Her hair looks very pretty. Is that hers? Members Sylph
And the quality of the "work" done? From A to F?
Members quartermainefan
wow, shame on Joan Van Ark! This is just proof that even TV stars need a mother to tell them what to do. Did she not have a sister or a friend to smack her silly before she started all this?
Members Sylph
Except that, according to DaytimeFan, Brad Pitt has atrocious and problematic skin. I wonder why Angelina (or anyone else) hasn't suggested a doctor change...
Members quartermainefan
That may be that he has bad skin. I just suspect if you were to ask 100 heterosexual men to name a famous man they consider handsome, the majority would go for Brad Pitt because he has become this conventionally accepted definition of handsome. Members Sylph
There's a doctor called Vail Reese who has his own website dedicated to examining the skin of the stars: http://www.skinema.com/Lobby.html and he says Brad's acne are awful. DiCaprio has them too. Britney Spears had inflamed cysts according to Dr. Reese.
Members DaytimeFan
'Frozen tundra above' = hilarious! I recall Joan always had good hair...but the lower bit looks a bit too nice, probably a little magic hair. A, without question. Except the veneers, which I think look too big, those get a B. Well I actually think Brad Pitt's skin isn't down to his doctor but the fact that he smokes like a chimney and bakes himself in the sun. Absolutely right. Brad Pitt is the ubiquitous definition of masculine beauty.
Members SFK
Raquel Welch looks hot. Not "good for her age", not "well-preserved" or any of those other semi-back-handed compliments though they may be true, she just looks GOOD. Props given. She and Lucci are in a special class of their own. This is my all-time favorite clip celebrating Lucci's beauty: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZY0WJR0W67E?fs=1&start=60amp;hl=en_US&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZY0WJR0W67E?fs=1&start=60amp;hl=en_US&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZY0WJR0W67E?fs=1&start=60amp;hl=en_US&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
