I would LOVE to know what this dude's problem is and why he can't keep a damn job. He must be the most high-maintenance actor ever.

Are we sure that his return wasn't always supposed to be short term? It's not like they can take Mitch to a lot of places, and given how fast they tape, they could have done a ton of material which is still to air.

That's what SOD.com is reporting, that he was always supposed to be short-term

My guess is Nelson is being a drama queen again, and sorry but to me RB isn't a "major" actor, at least not in regards to OLTL. To me major is ES, RSW and so on

Precisely. A 13-week contract would make his last day airdate no later than February 5, which seems about right with February Sweeps and the planned Stacy exit.

This is what SOD.com is reporting:

Roscoe Born Not Out Yet

Despite online buzz that OLTL's Roscoe Born (Mitch) has been fired, a source close to the show says Born returned only for a limited run and there is plenty more story for Mitch in the new year. When asked in October how long his return would last, Born told Digest, "I'll just be here until Mitch's story has been told on this round." Adds an ABC spokesperson, "We don't comment on rumors."

I guess Roscoe only having short term stints in recent years helps lead some to believe there must be a reason, but he did stay at OLTL for over a year in 2002-2003. The role as it is now just doesn't suit long term. Frankly, it didn't then either.

I hope he does find a good soap job somewhere, while some soaps are left. Perhaps he can join GH and go on a mob killing spree.

actually his stint was less than a year last time. I cant see how he would have stayed long term considering how cartoonish he is. Thank god he's leaving bc the character is dreadful and not even an entertaining villian

I agree, Mitch works as a short term villain, but long term he becomes snidely whiplash type character

yeah he's the type of character that compromises the integrity of the show and intelligence of the other characters. He does the most gruesome and horrible crimes yet the only way he can stay free is bc everyone else around him is incredibly dumb and screws things up. To keep him out of jail, the writers feed us a weekly dose of bullsh-t sandwich which might seem alright for a few weeks, but long term? Not quite

Too bad.
