Members aMLCproduction
It's the only way. But I bet with Vic returning and Lady Evilness returning the leakage will stop or just be a temp. thing
Members Jess
Days has been really good, It does appear that there is a cap on the number of people that will watch a soap and Days has hit its cap. Being number 2, however, is really good news.
Members Ann_SS
I agree that the mob stuff and dialogue was crap, but you would think that people would have tuned in on Jame Franco's first day before tuning out the following Monday. They didn't show up at all. How come?
Members aMLCproduction
Days being no. 2 should let all soaps know that good story telling is still a ratings winner. Not faces of evilness and movie stars. Days being no. 2 is so great on so many levels
Members AS THE WORLD TURNS
No I think it was a 3.2.

Members Ann_SS
I wonder what Frons is thinking about GH. If James Franco cannot help GH's demos, then GH has reached a ceiling. Frons will have to further cut back on GH's budget to keep the show profitable. For all the glee about Y&R's ratings, I bet CBS is celebrating its steady demos in comparison to GH's struggles. Members DRW50
I hope something is done. The show isn't just losing ratings, it's hard to even watch. It goes between boring and offensive, sometimes in the same scene. I don't think "daytime is dying anyway" is an excuse. I don't think Franco is any real draw. I have never thought he would be one. That's not a knock against him, he's just not a name a lot of people will tune into a new show for. Victor's absence didn't make the ratings drop, so his return may not bring them back up. It's always the same crap with him anyway.
Members Soapsuds
I've stopped watching it. I dont miss it at all.
Members Delta24d
I think that someone forgot to tell Y&R it is sweeps time, 3.3 is not a ratings bonanaza.dismal
Members JimTolkien
I am sure they are pleased with their steady demos but they have to realize they have an issue though they didn't lose as many viewers I thought they would. I swear I am watching the show and it's as if everyone and I mean almost everyone is the "walking dead". And I am not going to blame any of the actors for this but with the material they are getting to play, how can one put their complete self into what there are playing when they - there is simply no energy or zeal to the writing. I don't know what half of the s/ls are about. And the mix of some of the characters that on day-to-day is just so so off. Not to mention some of the s/ls playing now, I just saw most of them last year...UGH!!! I am about to shoot myself from sheer boredom so please don't anyone stop me!! Members Ann_SS
I'm skeptical, but it is possible that GH's ratings will improve in the weeks that follow.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
I expect Y&R's year to year ratings losses to get heavier as we move into 2010. The beginning of 2009 saw a lot of ratings growth for the show, but by the middle of the year, things went south gradually again.
Members AS THE WORLD TURNS
Yeah I hope your right and they get a new head writer and whatever else they need. So they can get the ratings up if the new writers are better than what we have now and bring the whole CBS daytime lineup back up again.
Members Ann_SS
OLTL and AMC's ratings are terrible also. They cannot have more than 2 to 3 years before cancellation.
