The Suds Report

I like Taylor Spreitler but given all the talk about her hair, I'm not sure how she is not a "hair model" and Molly Burnett is. That term becomes more and more meaningless.

When Suds Report dug to find out why Bell has basically shunned Lowder’s Rick from the canvas (heck, Winsor Harmon and I have more airtime), a source explains, “Kyle went so over-the-top with his performance earlier this year, which was lampooned on The Soup, that Brad has no idea what to do with the character. Rick has been ruined. You won’t be seeing Rick for another few months.”

This is a major "WTF". A show that has prominently featured the likes of Ronn Moss and John McCook for 22 years is concerned about LOWDER'S performance? Doubt it!

And no, Nelson - Jacob Young was not the best Rick. Lowder is. (And I was once a HUGE Justin Torkildsen fan.) You even said as much until he was paired with Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (ANOTHER actress you choose to pick on incessantly).

Oh, is Ewa Da Cruz (Vienna) really gone maybe? I never thought of her as a diva in real life but I don't know how she is in real life.

One of the mags just confirmed she'll be back.

Is Molly Burnett secretly 60 or something? What does it matter if Taylor is younger?

Didn't he say he was never going to watch DAYS again after they fired Drake/Deirdre/Mary Beth/Stephen?

I know, Melanie and Mia are like 4 years apart. Its funny how he harped on age.

And his age issue goes out the window. He hoped Carlys daughter was Chloe?! CHLOE?! Who is now in her late 20's?

and yes he did claim to quit watching after that.

When ATWT is cancelled (which I hope isn't happening soon), would that be the first time a P&G soap was not part of CBS' television daytime lineup at all?

Where's that breaking news he announced would be posted on Monday?

• American Thanksgiving came early. Soap fans partied all weekend with the news that head writer Chuck Pratt had been let go from AMC just as the 40-year-old sudser was taping their anniversary episodes to air on Jan. 4 and 5. When Soapoperadigest.com confirmed the news on the ouster heard around the daytime world, the AMC cast was reportedly stunned. “No one had a clue,” says one cast member. An ABC insider reveals that Brian Frons gave the maligned and controversial scribe three months to shape up or get out. “Fans were upset, but most importantly, certain high-level stars were furious over the material they had to act out, including the most vocal actor, Susan Lucci,” says the mole. According to daytimeconfidential.com, beloved soap scribe — and former AMC writer — Lorraine Broderick will step in for Pratt during the transition until ABC finds a new head writer (funny since Ilene Kristen and I were just asking why a sudser hasn’t employed Broderick in our interview this past Thursday). Expect Pratt’s material to air well into the new year so don’t bother tuning in until all traces of the hack are gone.

And Nelson Branco get a "10" from the Canadian judge for his perfect execution of the "Self-promoting Suck Up with Superfluous Name Drop!" The crowd goes wild!

It's so ridiculous. He does things like that to try to differentiate himself from the rest of us. You see, we're all lowly fans who are ignorant and naive to what daytime drama is all about. He, on the other hand, is a roving reporter who frequently collaborates with colleagues, such as the esteemed Jamey Giddens, to interpret for us the complex and intricate innards of the daytime television industry. In other words, he's the cheap ass knockoff of a cheap ass knockoff: he's the soap world's version of Perez Hilton who is the 2000s version of Louella Parsons and Hedda Hopper.

I respect your opinion on who you feel as best Rick, but imo, I think Jacob Young is the best Rick, but love him now as JR on AMC. And Lowder is imo, is better as Brady on Dool.

No one is better on DOOL!

Actually there are a surprising amount of people that put in their best effort on Days.

Elieen Davidson put in her best work ever there, to name one. Hell this past year Joe M has been better on DAYS than he ever was on B&B.

However, i do think Young was the best rick. And Lowder is WITHOUT A DOUBT better on B&B than he ever was on Days.
