Seeing this latest trend in best/worst threads, I thought to start my own.

Who are some of your favourite daytime divas, those bigger-than-life, magnetic, super stylish femmes fatales of daytime? It can be anyone from a long-forgotten guest star in the '70s to the main female protagonist on the show. Villainess, fairy godmother, the characters ethics and morality are not the point.

And not to forget: is there a particularly soapy name of a female character you like? Like e.g. Dominique Deveraux (not daytime, but hey), Angelique DuVal, Helena Cassadine, those French/Italian/German/Greek sounding names, that sort of thing.

P. S. If a mod could change the b in the title to a capital, I'd be grateful.

My favorite part is about her leather guy in West Hollywood.

Love the whole thing, big white hat, little white dress, white gloves, bling bling earrings and necklace and then a jacket that looks like an explosion.

Joan has fun with what she wears. Is it the height of fashion or good taste? No. Is she the only person who can pull off what she wears? Yes.

She IS looking youthful. She looks like she's lost a little weight. I wonder if she may have done a little something...it's been a month since she was last in the public eye and was apparently "not feeling well" for the CFDA's where she was supposed to escort Alexis Bittar (who won the award that night).

To me she looks like she just woke up.

I guess you can count on the fact that if DaytimeFan thinks someone looks fab, I think they look .

She looks great, kinda sleek, kinda chic, but nothing sensational. The fabric of that dress would look better as a man's overcoat. The shape of the dress is great on her sexy body but the fabric is a little bulky (and yes I know it's probably colder but she is sleeveless afterall). She'd have really wowed them in a lighter, slinkier fabric and bright coat of the same material that she flung off after a half hour, and photo op round two...

Joan's style is still very much alive in this country, chiefly on Sunday mornings in African-American churches.
