I do think OLTL is the best of the ABC soaps by far though

I don't see Kish, Jared and Nat (and Charlie), or Brody going anywhere. They're all RC pet projects and good ones. I think it's more likely we'll see people like Clint, or Cris or Layla, or Stacy go recurring or leave. But in the end, I have no real concept of OLTL's budget and I hear FV does a good job with it, so this may come to very little cutting.

At first I didn't think it was probable that Nat/Jared would leave, but then I thought about how little they've been used over the last six months and their pathetic wedding. They are really being wasted, so I wouldn't exactly be shocked if they were sent to London. I hope it doesn't happen and they get a story soon, but I wonder. I can only pray Stacy leaves. Soon.

I don't think Stacy will go anywhere. RC still has to go stump for her in print. The people he has to shill for, like Stacy, Todd, and Rex, I think those are the #1 in priorities for Frons.

I've heard so much praise in regards to Gina T, I've never see her on OLTL! I really can't wait to see her as Kelly. Gotta give Heather Tom props though, I loved her on there.

Lord, I remember GT's first day as Kelly, hell, I remember reading in SOD that Dorian's niece Kelly Cramer was coming to the show... oh how the years go by. BUT, as good as she was on OLTL, the praise for GT didn't really start until Dinah. It'll be interesting to see what these years will bring to her Kelly.

And Kelly is kind of in an in-between age group compared to the other ladies on the show. She's supposed to be a few years older than the Jessica/Natalie set, yet not as old as Blair/Marty. I think she'll end up with John, more strife for her and her cousin Blair. I think GT and FL will be dynamite if pitted against one another, moreso than FL and KD.

That should work, since I think of Blair/Marty as mid 40's, GT as mid 30's and Nat/Jess and mid 20's. OLTL has need women in the 30 something age group for awhile now.

I thought FL and KD had good chemistry together until the show messed it up with this awful non-triangle and with the KAD stuff.

I don't know if I want to see Blair and Kelly as rivals again, but I thought GT and KD were dynamite when they were rivals after Kelly killed Blair's baby. I don't know if the same will be true with GT and FL because Tea's main priority on the show is being Todd's woman, she usually has no real personality of her own.

tina m, I don't think you missed very much for not seeing Gina on OLTL. The writing for Kelly was bad almost from start to finish, and Gina was very green as an actress. She was better on GL.

ITA. Blair against Kelly has more emotional resonance than Blair against Tea.

Gina's fantastic. Too good for soaps IMO. GT could really be a game changer for OLTL.

The return of Kelly makes me wonder if Tea/FL or Marty/SH will be leaving. FL was never supposed to be around this long and TSJ's contract is up in April. Perhaps TnT will ride off into the sunset. Also I could see the Kaye-Haskells getting tired of the bicoastal thing assuming that's really going to happen. I think Gina and Dan would be good together if they insist on pursuing Keke. (I never warmed up to that pairing.) Regardless, Blair is becoming more and more irrelevant.

This is blasphemy, but GH with all its flaws is the most watchable ABC soap.

I long ago wrote off the possibility of a long-term DG return for a lot of reasons. Even if the show had the sense to ask him back, IMO he's better off on the west coast. He's working and he doesn't have to deal with people who treated him like garbage.

Despite buzz that fan fave Gina Tognoni (ex-Dinah, GL) was in talks with Y&R and B&B, the actress will return to her popular OLTL role of Kelly Cramer next year. "I am excited to welcome the extremely talented Gina Tognoni back to the role that launched her daytime career," Executive Producer Frank Valentini shared in statement. "The role of Kelly is an important part of OLTL's history and Gina's portrayal as a member of the spirited Cramer family has always been a fan favorite. She is a friend and I am thrilled to be working with her once again." Tognoni begins taping in January. The actress portrayed Dorian's (Robin Strasser) feisty niece from 1995-2001, and briefly appeared in 2002. As for the character, last played by Heather Tom (Katie, B&B ), she departed Llanview in 2006 with husband Kevin and has supposedly been living in London with her son and his grandson, Zane. As previously reported, Dan Gauthier (ex-Kevin) is slated for a limited return as Kevin this fall. Their returns, however, will not coincide.
