Bizarrely, while I didn't see it, I distinctly remember my younger sister telling me. We were walking to the store, and at the top of the hill she let out "Roger raped Holly", and I swear I remember it echoing for what seemed like forever. She would've been five at the time.

I think that was the first one where they made the point that they wanted to educate the audience about the subject.

I believe that's what I read in the recaps from the time as well. I meant, I couldn't quite believe that the audience wouldn't understand that a woman preparing to go to her engagement party  was raped.

I know that on ATWT John raped Kim while they were married, resulting in Andy, but I think they shied away from calling that marital rape.

I've always said, Robert Newman does not get enough credit for the popularity of Josh/Reva. Had he stayed in '91, and had years to build other relationships before Kim returned, I'm not sure we'd have been stuck with "always".

I remember thinking that he was fantastic after Reva's 1990 "death," with his grief and attempted relationship with Harley. I also remember the cute Marah, not the toothy chick from Halloweentown.

Isn't that funny how certain memories as young children stick with you through life...

Haha I totally get what you mean. That's how I felt with GL in the beginning, but then I got used to it. Seeing so many of my favorite AMC characters on GL was wild - Walker, Irizarry, Dusay, Budig, Aleksander, Marshall, Gil Rogers, etc.  Ironically, it helps that Irizarry and Dusay played both mother/son in both shows.

I know Marcy Walker was wasted on GL as Tangie, but selfishly I'm so glad she was. When she left GL and returned immediately to AMC as Liza Colby, man was it such a great storyline. The Tad/Dixie/Liza triangle was so emotional, tense and memorable. The AMC fans got lucky with that one. WRCW, Tad/Liza working together, the affair, then Jason Sheffield and the shooting on-set... all amazing stuff.

I feel bad for judging a child, but, to be fair, she's over 40 now. My daughter was into Halloweentown when it reran on the Disney Channel in the 2010s. I wasn't impressed then, either.

Haha, I get it. I was too old when Halloweentown was popular with the kids, but I did go back and watch the first two about 6-7 years ago and actually thought Marnie was a likable lead and she was pretty good, for a movie like that. But now watching GL and seeing her as a young child, I totally get what you're saying. She's annoying haha.

I went back to my ebook copy of Zimmer's book. She never mentions Michelle Forbes by name in her book.  She mentions the character of Sonni once in relation to giving a plot summary of Reva's connection to H.B. and how Larry Gates won the Emmy.  She says Josh left Reva to go be with Sonni in Venezuela shortly before Reva had her miscarriage because of Vanessa. Michelle Forbes was not even on the show at this point. Is this an example of Zimmer getting her dates mixed up? Or was Josh's past rewritten and Zimmer is just going along with that?

I've noticed that actors frequently misremember storylines. They're not like viewers. Viewers are like elephants, we remember everything (or we think we do, LOL). She may genuinely have forgotten the details and chronological order of the story.

However, it is extremely odd that she doesn't mention Forbes by name since they were in a hot storyline together as bitter rivals for two years.

I thought the writers might have rewritten Josh's history (reason for going to Venezuela) and that Zimmer was remembering that. Since I was not watching during Reva's miscarriage story, I was not sure how that played out and I didn't want to say. I just knew Michelle Forbes would not have been on based on the dates of Larry Gates's Emmy win. 

I also found it odd she didn't mention Forbes since she does mention nearly everyone else she had a major storyline with.

You could just say you didn't like the actress from Halloweentown without attacking looks.  Not cool

A part of me agrees, as I do think Robert is a good actor (better than I gave him credit for at the time), but I'm not sure, aside from Harley, how much he ever clicked with other ladies. He did have some spark with Crystal Chappell.

Before I met Reva, I really did enjoy Josh and Annie. The beginning of their relationship was really cute, the flirting and chemistry was there. I was fully into it, but then I learned who Jeva was and realized it couldn't sustain.

I just read a few interviews that Kim gave online, and it's pretty clear she loves her wine, which I love. I'm a wine guy too, so I'm not surprised she had to have a little here and there to get through some things.

Well, I think she's trying to be funny, and it's technically accurate, if misleading. If you leave out the Sonni part it's "Josh left Reva to (go to) Venezuela shortly before Reva had her miscarriage because of Vanessa."

I guess "Josh left Reva after finding out the child she was carrying was his father's, and miscarried because of her drugged out step-daughter-in-law, where he met a woman with split personality..." isn't as "snappy".

As for Robert, I thought he clicked with Harley and Annie, not so much Olivia. I'm on the fence about Sonni. Before Reva came to town, he crapped out with Morgan and Hillary, but a) I don't think anyone really had chemistry with Jennifer Cooke, who was not good, and b) I don't think the romance with Hillary was ever much more than filler. (oooh, Josh and Katie might've been cute...) But, after Reva, Josh was never really chem tested with actresses. I know there was some kind of flirtation with Jenna, which still seems odd to me (especially since Jenna was hiding a pregnancy). 

But other than Cassie, Josh got involved with other women (from what I recall) when either he was out of town, or Reva was presumed dead. He didn't bust up with Reva and start dating around town.
