Remember when they had a big scene of the Ed and Maureen talking about the "wildest" Reardon coming home, and Rick says, "Nola's coming back" and Maureen says, "Oh no, Chelsea's MUCH wilder then even Nola!"

I don't remember that scene! OMG, that is TOO funny!

There were three unseen Reardon siblings at this point. I suppose they wanted this one to be of an age to belong to the current young adult crowd, so that's why they retconned their birth order, but hell, at least bring in someone interesting. Maureen was already the goody-goody, they didn't need another one.

I always had the impression that Blake turning out to be Christina was a storyline switcheroo after they decided to bring back Roger. She used to talk to someone on the phone and it sounded like it was a younger sibling. Maybe originally they were going to be Spaulding cousins, like Johnny was a Bauer cousin? I'm pretty sure in the Spaulding backstory Brandon had a brother.

LOL. Nola was established as the youngest, the name Chelsea doesn't fit in with the other Reardon sibling names, AND she had a very prominent Southern accent. Kassie would have been more believable as a Lewis or a Shayne. Plus, the character was boring as heck.

Making her Chrissie was inspired, but if they hadn't gotten Roger and Holly back, would it have meant as much?

Lord, save us from another Shayne. No offense to KdP, but she's just not my cup of tea. Maybe she just upped her game for OLTL, but she's uninspired on GL.

Well, you can't have a "bad" Reardon. They could've said Chelsea was the oldest child of the oldest Reardon.

I think Kassie was a decent enough support figure on GL but probably not able to play complexity (most of the ingenues who came and went on GL couldn't), although they didn't really give her any either. She once said that they gave Blake everything that had once been there for Chelsea. She does better on OLTL but that took a while too.

I guess in terms of Phillip's woman du jour coming in third behind Beth and Spaulding, that's true. But she sure wasn't either MKA or even Liz Dennehy.

Was Bolger still in the role at the beginning of Phillip/Chelsea?

I think Grant had just returned, although I'm not sure.

I can't remember the exact quote, but I think Kassie said Blake took her storyline, her romantic pairing, and her job (at Spaulding). I can't remember when this was - maybe her leaving interview in SOD or SPW.

I recall a scene between Phillip and Chelsea that was played with Bolger--I think it was the characters' first major conversation--but soon after that Grant returned.

Chelsea working in PR at Spaulding made little sense. At least Blake was supposed to be qualified. Never understood why Alan was willing to give Chelsea that job. He seemed to really like Chelsea as Phillip's girlfriend, too, which made less sense, as she was even lower on the social scale than Beth.

Wait...

Just thought of something.

Took her storyline?

Was CHELSEA originally supposed to be Alan's spy to help him get Spaulding back? Were they going to become lovers?

Is THAT what Maureen meant about her being "wild?"

Yikes.

Rebecca Hollen's last airdate seems to fall between July 4th, 1985 and July 15th. Reva tells Trish she's in love with Kyle and leaving HB on July 4th. The Lewises (minus Trish) go to Cross Creek to celebrate Billy's birthday (this year, other years it's in March) to "accept" Kyle as a Lewis the week of the 15th.

Rebecca Hollen's (Trish) last episode was #9702 from July 11th, 1985

Thanks!

I know the Infinity story takes the heat for the lackluster of 1985, but the Charlotte Wheaton story isn't any better. Other than proving Barbara Garrick has a talent for playing mean spirited kooks. Watching Richard VanVleet is like watching paint dry.

1994 telecast had some of my favorite winners with Zaslow finally getting his due

Even though I wasn't watching GL in real time by then, I was happy that MZ got his long-awaited for Lead Actor Emmy.

MZ deserved more wins than the one he got. He wasn't nominated in 1991 but should have been and I think he could have won that year, and I also think he should have won in 1992.

Hey, I'm wondering if anyone has cross-referenced Spauldingfield's undated episodes with the German playlists? An angel has been uploading to the Soap Vault and it would be great to be able to date all those episodes. I have access to rename them, if anyone has a list.

I forgot about the Charlotte Wheaton saga....wasnt her real killer that Alicia television woman..it really was a big "who cares" as it involved people we didn't know (I do wish Charlotte would have lived to just be an annoying pain in the ass to everyone as a recurring character...)It didn't help that it was Faux Ed and as you say, VanFleet makes PS look like a live wire!

Didn't Fletcher and Mo have a radio show at that time WTF was Long thinking during this time? I saw another clip of Maeve and she is yet again laying in bed as she is preggers..I swear LD must have had it written in her contract that she was to remain off her feet for all of her roles..(wasn't she in a wheel chair on ATWT?)
