He totally skipped over Laibson and rightfully so, lol. McTavish’s writing for Roger was arguably the nadir for that character’s writing. Laibson seemed to be only as good as his HW.

Speaking of Reva, in the clip below Edmund reads the Layne/Shayne sisters for absolute filth.

DAM had great talent, it's too bad his character was inextricably tied with San Cristobel, making him unassimilable to any authentic version of GL. 

This clip also prompted me to look up and re-read @DRW50's comment about colonialism on San Cristobel. Cassie shoves Beth and the Black guard aside to speak to the all-white Royal Council. Why did Reva and Cassie think they were entitled to dictate what went on on that island? The writing and casting speaks to unspoken racial fantasies of colonialism and racial domination. But this era of GL wasn't mature enough to explore these themes. Later that year we would be treated to Reva's antebellum time travel with embarrassing scenes of Shari Headley playing her slave.

Great quote from Eddie! Taggert tried to assimilate him in the canvas away from simply Rassie and Jeva side when she made him vow vengance on the "Bowas" for taking Dickie's heart. 

I still think it would have been interesting to have Cassie start an attraction think with a hot San Crud rebel of color...(they could even have him kidnap her at first to satisfy those Harlequin Romance fantasies of falling in love with your kidnapper...) who is out to overthrow the white bread Winslows. She begins to see the dark side of San Crud and being a pretty princess. That would have sent the Rassie's SCREAMING in agony.

They could also have ripped off ATWT and had Reva's long-lost twin be "Treva" from Teaneck.

Interestingly enough, Zimmer lists Rauch as one of her favorite producers in her book despite his role in what happened to Zaslow. To be fair to Zimmer, she was very supportive of Zaslow. Zaslow specifically mentions the support he got from Jerry ver Dorn, Maureen Garrett, Tina Sloan and Zimmer. Although, it's clear he felt supported by the cast just not the producers or the execs. Zaslow never mentions Rauch by name in the book. I only found the reference to Rauch because I was looking for information on JFP.

To those fans of us who are very familiar with Rauch, with KZ, that she was a fan of his, is in no way a surprise. And, I personally support a theory that she preferred male bosses to female ones. In a way that's just the kind of dame she was, never a girlfriend, always a flirt. And, of course Rauch always had a very pronounced preference for women over men. Funny how that can be a thing in the workplace but it can, and does. BTW, I do not add this to in any way diminish your contributions upon reading KZ's book.

The Prince Cardboard fans would have gone nuclear. I sort of wish GL had just gone through with with Danny/Cassie and just let the Rassies and Manniacs destroy each other.

Edmund was paired up with JC's Alex but it felt more like Dame Joan hanging out with her camp gay pal than a believable romance. 

At the time I wondered why Edmund never shared a scene with India, who came back around that time as part of Philip's Ex-Wives Club. DAM's camp might have been a nice complement to MKA's soft butch vibe. At least it would have made more sense than putting him with Carmen.

Ha..I never for a moment believed Eddie in a male/female relationship, and I don't think DAM did it either, he was just so purposeful in making Eddie seem ambigous at best. He and Joan/Alex made sense as, really, Eddie was worshiping her divaness and she would like some good looking arm candy who made her laugh. And as long as India stayed FAR away from San Crud, a Eddie/India relationship of convenience and power would be great...and I do wish they had explored a storyline where India finally finds out that the only way she could find true love (besides Phill-lippppeeee) would be with a woman..(nothing could have been worse then her chasing after Simon....)

He usually didn't treat any of those women well though.. Zimmer just liked Rauchie as he threw the show to her...(I can't blame her) and he thought of her as a marque name for some reason and true..Kimmer is more of a kind of guy-gal...even without the flirting, I am sure she can drop the fbomb with the best of them, liked her booze, laughs and a ribald sense of humor (I sound like Henry Chamberline...) Tho I always wanted reports on how she and JFP got along during those 6 weeks they were working together.

I never cared enough to wonder. And, knowing that Jill didn't even have the guts to tell Ellen Parker about her impending demise IN PERSON really told the tale, to me.
