Love how Angie is standing up to Madison!!! haha - 'No sweatheart, we do this now. You tell me what game you're playing so it can stop now!'

Love the Erica/Krystal stuff except that scorpion looks fake as hell...actually looks like a piece of dogshit. haha

I really hope that we don't have a custody battle coming up between Frankie/Randi and Amanda/Jake. Denise will ruin it to hell.

Nurse Gayle! That was a surprise to see her back. And The Comeback set has come back! haha

Natalia is a wonderful character and the actress is talented. Pratt needs to pull his head out of his butt and give her a love interest and story. Instead of JR and Scott fawning over bland talentless Marissa, they should be fighting over Natalia.

Susan looks so young and beautiful in jeans and a tee shirt.

My main reaction to this episode was UGGHHH!

I've loved Angie Hubbard since I was in high school at the same time she was. Through all her ups and downs, I rooted for her to come out on top, but today I found myself really disliking her. Not just her attitude toward Madison, but her justification for her husband and daughter-in-law covering up a murder.

Tad's jokes weren't funny at all. WTF was the point of that? I have to admit there was a weather advisory rolling at the bottom of the screen about a powerful thunderstorm that never materialized so I was distracted, but I don't get why he was trying to push Liza on David.

Erica telling off the bear 25-30 years ago was campy fun, telling off the scorpion today was a bad imitation. At least we did get some good scenes of Susan with the African kids. However, my goodwill toward this story dissipated with Erica hugging Krystal at the end!

Denise Vasi once again ruined what could have been a powerful scene with Frankie & Natalia.

I know it's probably Greenlee, but I so hope the mystery person is either Leo or Dixie instead! Greens outstayed her welcome already.

This was absolutely a horrible episode. It was a horrible week -- too much Rebecca Taylor. The "funny" stuff was not funny at all. The "dramatic" stuff (especially Randi's crap which was ten times worse with a bad actress saying bad lines) was way too fake... and as you said, the scorpion scene in this particular episode was a heavy handed and flat out bad imitation! Erica never should've even mentioned telling off the Grizzly bear, because immediately we were taken right back to the original and were very ready to compare. The last thing that script needed to do was be so heavy handed with telling the audience "Hey, remember that famous Grizzly bear scene? We're about to do it again, but this time, with a Scorpion! Hee hee! You'll love it!!" only to leave us flat and unamused.

And about that damn scorpion... All of that drama and blubbering and bickering, and all Krystal had to do was brush it off and smash it?

As for why Tad's trying to push Liza on David -- you have to remember his brilliant plan (since all of his other brilliant plans have been successful thus far). He's hoping Liza will get David so hot and horny he'll confess that he's got Trevor. You know... the old Samson and Delilah routine that Pratt seems to overuse. Kinda like how Erica was supposed to get close to Adam so he'll reveal his covert operations in trying to take over Fusion.

    • Also, the lawsuit story was not the right story to bring Naomi and Bill into a court battle since those types of lawsuits are usually resolved via settlements.
    • I know that Sara did eventually become Carrie's therapist, but I was curious if the show had her make comments regarding Carrie's stunts of making it seem as though Justin was cheating on Jackie.  Given that Justin cheated on Sara with both Jackie and Brandy, I wondered if it was wise of her to counsel Carrie given the conflict of interest involved. @DRW50I think once Adam/Sara end up married.. Marland didn't see any reason to explore Sara's personal life after the actor playing Adam was released.  I know that Sara lasts until at least Christmas 1982 on the show.. but I don't think she ended up staying on for very long into 1983. The period between Marland quitting and Pam Long starting was the perfect time to clean house on characters that had outgrown their usefulness  (i.e. Ben, Evie, Sara, Jennifer, Morgan).. and tying up stories started by Marland that were too complex (Mona Enright, Mark/Jennifer/Amanda triangle).
    • Unpopular opinion:  The focus on the soap opera tropes over the mysteries and crimes was partly what did the show in.  Also, featuring characters not involved in the legal, police, and criminal elements also hurt the show and took away what made it unique. Featuring characters like Jody, Raven, Sky, etc hurt the show long term.  The show ABCified starting in 1976/1977 and then went through a youthification period starting in 1981.
    • I feel like the lawsuit storyline was resolved quickly because the show didn’t want to spring for more sets.
    • It's been a while, but we have seen the foyer to Bill and Hayley's house as well as the exterior entrance to their house. The foyer was first seen in the premiere episode when Hayley met Vanessa at the house.
    • There's still a year or two before Larkin arrives. Joel is there already. EON does noticeably youthify, although I think they carry it off. Admittedly I haven't seen most of the Jody stories, which from what people here have said aren't great.
    • I don't mind the actor who plays Brian. He's fine. The problem for me is that Paige seems so wishy wishy. She doesn't seem to have much of a personality at this point so I don't see why Brian would be so besotted with her. She just lurches from one trauma to the next. Granted, it's only been a month, but she's not as vibrant as April or even Deborah who has had minimal screen time by this point.  I do worry about the influence of GH on the show since I'm in fall of 1979 and characters have conversations and there's not the drive to "youthify" the show. However, I think Marceau (sp?) is gone. He was given a rather tame sendoff. How long was the actor on the show? I hope this is not a sign of things to come. I worry the show is setting up a murder mystery around one of my favorite characters and I will be mightily annoyed. I also noticed in recent Search for Tomorrow episodes uploaded to YT that the actors playing Logan and Eliot showed up. I don't watch the show but they were in the screencaps. When does Larkin Malloy show up or has he already left? Joel Crothers hasn't shown up either unless I've blinked and missed him.
    • Dr Linden. She treated Vanessa's drug addiction (although Vanessa seemed to forget that by Henry's suicide attempt) , and she's mentioned during Reva's PPD. Although I can't recall if she's actually shown right off the top of my head. She probably was temporarily shelved when Sonni was a therapist (between her crazy times) And I think Billy sees her after he falls off the wagon after Reva's death.
