The last thing Daniel needs is a long-lost relative. There's already plenty they should be able to do with the character as he is now.

    He's had multiple DUI's and run-ins with the po' po'...Hopefully he's clean and sober now.

    He also had an addiction to prescription drugs. He appeared on a show over here, called, Rehab. I think it was sometime in Jan/Feb.

    A spot of trivia for you guys: You know how the Bell's, like to keep favourite actors within the family, well, SK was supposed to return to B&B three times, in the past year, but his personal issues scuppered those plans. Now they have Rick Hearst; no room for Deacon. So, I can see why they would be keen for him to land a gig at Y&R.

    Personally, I think it's pretty obvious that Deacon would be involved in the stolen art story, but this rumour (and this coming from someone who is quite rusty on some of the history (bar Deacon's)) sounds weird. I think Deacon being an only child, fits his character, and I can't really see Deacon and Daniel as half brothers. Question: Why would Deacon be involved in forged/stolen art anyway? Its never seemed his thing.

    i thought about it and i don't think Deacon is Daniel's bro. From the spoiler it says that the sibling is working with the villain. SO I really think Deacon is the mastermind and Daniel's brother is working with Deacon. I think this is a way to introduce a new character and they're doing it through Deacon. I can see Deacon being some head of a crime syndicate or something. And his reason for going after Daniel is obviously Amber. This is some sick way of wooing her, by crushing her current bf to get her back. Deacon is bad...really bad.

    Is it wrong of me to say I'm so glad I don't have a vajayjay? I mean - I really applaud you women for keeping up with those things. From all the commercials i've had to watch during soaps (pre-DVR!), it seems harder to maintain your "lady business" than a BMW.

    To answer your question, it feels contrived. The entire mess. I know we're supposed to wait until something airs, but there seems to be something plot driven about this new brotherhood. I'm not claiming plot is horrible but it's all over the place on this show. It's not something I look forward to and IMO I think it's in tptb response to giving Daniel some inner conflict, and bringing on a brother is not necessary.

    They tried to give Daniel his art, an extroverted girlfriend, a porn addiction; and I don't see this element being any different. If this is supposed to be s/l for Amber, I'm not certain this is the route to go for her either.
