I'm caught up finally!

I loved Annie sparring with Erica and telling Aidan to stay away. She & Adam have the potential to be a great power couple, imo.

I also liked Colby telling her parents that they're just alike. It reminded me of that classic "I am you" scene.

Marisa is better with Scott than JR.

Denise Vasi still needs acting lessons, but I like the twist that DA North was the first man to fall in love with her. I'm intrigued to see where this goes.

I felt so bad for Brot since he knows Taylor is happier with Tad than with him. I just hope her relationship with Tad doesn't take away her fierceness, as I'm afraid it will!

Adam & Erica were hilarious today! So much love for them.

I am not happy with JL as Liza BUT I do see some chemistry with Ryan/Liza so I'm okay with the show going there.

Why are they breaking up Taylor and Brot? The actors have such a natural and darling chemistry.

Annie, Adam, all the way.

I can't help but think I would actually be intrigued by this whole DA thing, IF Vasi were a stronger actress. Also, it's good to see that Cornelius has gotten over the Bad Acting Virus that seemed to have him in his grips since mangling his hands.

The problem with Brot and Taylor is that Pratt has written himself into a corner here. THere's no good reason to keep them apart and there's no good reason to keep them together. I happen to like the two of them together, but until either character becomes more defined the story is just going to hang there.

I do know I'm tired of pouty Brot and mopey Taylor. It's like happy in one scene and in the very next:

T-What's wrong?

B-Something's not right.

T-Sure it is.

B-No, it's different, LT, and you know it.

T-We were just happy having drinks and now we're not.

B-Yes, the script says we must be unhappy in this scene, because we were happy in the previous one.

T-Haven't we done this before?

B-Yes, ad nauseam. I believe Rebecca Taylor has written today's script.

T-What? That bitchcakes can't write a script to save her life. Open Final Draft, insert idiot slut.

B-Wait a sec...on second thought, maybe Beall's back.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Add in a random scene where they spend 3 minutes obsessing over how evil David is, and that's a perfect Rebecca Taylor script!

Between repeating the same dialogue over and over again -- and having characters spend entire scenes obsessing over David (even when he's not in that episode at all), that's basically a Rebecca Taylor day. Add in JR practically bashing Adam in the head with a lead pipe every five seconds and you get one of the BEST script writers in daytime television.

UGH, I know. I'll admit there's mild chemistry, but I MUCH prefer her with Scott. Where is he anyway?! :(

The twist would work...if it didn't cheapen Frankie and Randi. I love that Frankie was the first man to love Randi and attempt to "save" her...and now that's ruined because Randi was just worried about tainting Henry. So what makes Frankie so special? She worried about tainting him, too. Unless there's a twist like Henry turned abusive on Randi, I'm not too thrilled.

I thought this was a really good episode. It was a good showcase of the depth of acting. Even BM and DV were tolerable. The show needs to keep Kieran Campion. He's a really good actor and you can tell he has a theater background.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
