its been abuz for some time now that they were penning an exit.

im sure it has to do with her contract. most shows wont allow actors to work past the contraxt date unless they agree to a one month type thing to finish talks.

what i really know is.... if they did pen an exit and its been filmed, when will it air? and are contract talks done? forever?

Probably, but it seems like wealth creates a need for more wealth. Not that I have any experience with this problem first hand. It probably takes a lot of money to maintain the lifestyle she is accustomed to though, I would think.

Well, when someone writes a post that long, even I find myself being lazy and not reading the entire thing...

I hope we're all wrong and they'll make a deal, even if it takes months.

I wish MAB would get a clue and cut the people fans don't like.

Gloria and Jeff-only a few people like these two. This may be a Bloom/Sonny thing because I heard they made LML hire Shakleford back after she killed off his character.

Tyra and Ana- these characters should have never been brought back when they went off to that music school. TPTB make these excuses to keep this woman on this show.

On to the younger characters...

Noah, Abby, and Eden-write them as their own characters instead of making them into the glo by jabot kids. They're not Billy, Brittney, and Mac.

The Scoobies-some of these characters are in their 30s, stop having them act like teenagers!

The way she's written is unlike how HT Victoria was but the way she acts in the role is discouraging. She's still missing that UMMMPPHHH. It's just a very incomplete Victoria to me. She's an ok actress I can see her playing a more tranquil, laidback humble character without feeling as if something is missing. It's probably not the best of compliments to her as an actress to type cast but that's how I see it. She's an ok actress she's just not Victoria

As an actor, you're supposed to bring life into the littlest of scenes you get. The easy stuff they've given Amelia Heinle, and she still hasn't delivered and almost SLEEPWALKS through her scenes. She might have been good in other soap roles, but she LACKS the necessary confidence to play Victoria Newman, she just isn't consistent and doesn't give her all to her work. The writing for the character is bad yes, but Amelia does NOTHING to turn the crap writing into gold, as many other actors on this show and other shows have done with crap writing.

Okay Mary Jane fans...here are the scenes where her divorce from Jack are finalized. I think I have some more scenes with her, but I'll have to look. There's so little Patty online which is a shame.

Patty and Jack Divorce Part One

If you look in my videos you will find part two and three.

Thanks for posting Chris B! :)

I want Jeff gone...not Gloria. I agree, though, that he may be sort of "CBS-imposed"...retained because he is a good actor, and to keep the network happy.

Noah should stay and get a real story. Eden should go and Abby should be recast.

The Scoobies...I like 'em, but I also am getting tired of "capers". I'm hopeful we'll move beyond capers. I'm hoping Amber comes face to face with the son she left behind, and has to deal with being a mom to an incorrigible young man (Noah's age is what I'd make him). I'd like Little Eric/Deacon to be the romantic interest for a recast Abby.

I love Jana, but I want the brain tumor to take her...so that Kevin can be free.

The lack of "ummpphh" is the same problem with Mac (character never had any) and Lily (character never developed any). But Victoria MUST have "ummpphh"...she is a NEWMAN, and most like Victor.

I'd send Vikki/JT to Italy (save some $$), rest the character, and bring back HT as Viki when the B&B contract is done.

Awesome video. I'd love to see that full episode (even though bits of it are online).

How long after this did Patty actually leave town? I'd LOVE to see her final episode, so I can get a better handle on the tone with which she left.

That would be interesting to see, but even if she left at peace with Jack I still wouldn't find her coming back pissed and obsessed unrealistic. Just because you think you've put a traumatic situation or grudge behind you, that doesn't mean it can't come back full force. Especially, if life disappoints you down the road or you are the type of person who blames other people for the state your life is in. The Patty's of the world are never really in control of their lives and that's why they never really get over the bad stuff (Sheila is like this and old school Phyllis to a lesser degree).

I'm sorry, but why the hell is Gloria needed on this show? They obviously HAVE NO IDEA what to do with her, and if her role is simply comedic relief, then that's a waste of time and money. If they must "pare down" then Gloria is one of those characters that can and should be written out. She brings nothing to the show and they seemingly don't know what to do with her, hence lumping her and Jeffrey into this Jill storyline, which is played for laughs anyway.

I'm tired of the directionless and filler characters on this show, especially when real vets are being let go or asked to take paycuts.

    • Jenn was a huge part of the success of Days back in the day, and that contribution shouldn't be dismissed.  With that said, I do think her and Jack's time on the show should remain as occasional visits/drop ins. When Missy returns to play Jenn, Jenn is back to being Jenn.   Jenn in her glory days was head strong, fiesty, and was a live wire.... and her scenes with Jack on Friday was classic Jenn with Jack being the voice of reason.   It was the foundation of their relationship back in the day.
    • Claire was always tightly wound, I think what Long was going to do is to throw the three into this impossible situation with no bad guys, Mo, knowing how to take care of kids from growing up but unable to conceive and Claire, who didnt know how to take care of kids and was totally focused on her career, gets knocked up.  Ryder took Claire off the deep end as a convenient way to make story for characters he wasnt interested in (though Pratt blames McTavish) with little effort. It was later explained to be a brain tumor (though why was she a bitch again when she returned?) \ Claire did sleep with Rick, she was his first!
    • I'm sorry, truly I am, but this literally made me LOL. Tempting fate, much?

    • Oh, I have very little doubt that Missy feels some way personally and privately.  Donna was just saying she actively spoke out against Days in public in reference to the gay storylines, which she did not. I don't have super strong feeling about Jen one way or another.  She was always a side character to me.  I still think Missy is Jen regardless of her stupid beliefs.
    • I hated the swap-over; Clayton Norcross, to me, was far superior in the role of Thorne than Jeff Trachta ever was. And the recast left me disliking Thorne when he was the superior son to me. As for Teri Ann Linn, I feel like she got the raw deal. Kristen was very clear as a forefronting character, especially in her rivalry with Stephanie, and it feels like she was dropped off for Felicia, and they never returned it. Not to mention the subpar recast with Tracy Melchior in 2001. Someone like Brenda Epperson (ex-Ashley, Y&R) would've been more suited for that role.
    • I just remember when Leo was marrying Craig (?), Greg Rikaart stated a line and made direct eye-contact with Melissa Reeves, and when the camera cut to her, she looked away.

Rikaart had a mission that day, and he succeeded.
