Not if it were Gina Tognoni. (It's not like she's just some Sabine Singh...)

Definitely not.

And I agree that she'd make a great Greenlee. I'd rather see Tognoni as Greenlee than as Kelly - especially since OLTL has enough heroines to go around. But if it's true that she was too pricey for ABC, then AMC would obviously be off the map, as well.

People assume that GL doesn't pay, but when you're a major star like Gina Tognoni, I'm sure she makes good money for a soap. Ricky Paull Goldin recently said he took a paycut when he went from GL to AMC. AMC is higher rated and on ABC, but he still took a pay cut. If Tognoni came to OLTL, she'd be a very supporting character in a full canvas, so her making less money than at GL is VERY likely.

Many would like her as Victoria on Y&R and while I'd LOVE to see the character return, I don't want that show to begin with too many recasts. Look at ATWT, a few years ago it was just Sierra, Dusty and Craig, now 70% of the canvas is recast. Either Bring Heather Tom back or give Amelia the strong story to make the character work. Victoria is rarely written as the mini-Victor that she is. Hell, I was hoping SHE'D be the one tormenting Ashley. They give her very little to do and when she is given something big, it's the wrong type of thing. I know she's not the best actress, but there is still frontburner potential IMO.

No, Ameila Heinle just seriously needs to go. Even in the littlest of scenes, she sleepwalks through them and conveys very little emotion. The writing isn't there for the character, but neither is Ameila's acting ability. I don't mind recasts, but they have to work.

If they wrote Victoria true to character, and Gina was playing the role, I'm almost certain it would click. Heinle isn't very convincing as anything other than the damsel in distress heroine, which should NOT be Victoria.

Heinle plays every scene the same way and has no range. They need to revamp the character and cast Tognoni, or just bring Heather Tom back, who is wasted on B&B and her acting has suffered majorly by being on that show.

If MTS is (sadly) out the door, that frees up money for Y&R to sign Heather Tom and give her number of appearance guarantees she wants. HT would be better than GT because casting HT allows you to use all tons of awesome flashbacks.

Seems like it's always a money issue with GT. Word has it she was in negotiations with OLTL to reprise the role in 2003, but it didn't happen because they couldn't come to terms on salery. Oh well. I'm not complaining, because I was not a fan of her version of Kelly. I'd sooner opt for a recast.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
