MAB's backburning of Nikki over the past 6 months to make sure the character has a smooth exit doesn't help either.

MAB has some blame here, she could let dozens of actors go when their cycle is up to make room for MTS, but apparently, Gloria, Jeffrey, Ana, Tyra, and others are worth more to the show than Nikki.
