Will they ever update this thing or are they trying to beat Y&R's record for most years with an outdated opening?. I thought for sure they would get a new one when the show went to HD but that didnt happen. Saw it just now and it still has Justus who was killed off how many years ago?

Yeah, it's quite the epic fail. What bothers me most is that it's stretched so that it's out of proportion. It's just such a mess.

Justus is still in the ending scene with all the guys....and so is Ned.

Sarah Brown hasn't been added, and she's been on for well over a year, lol......not to mention several other contract actors who've never been added during that time.

AMC has updated theirs-FINALLY and took out Babe and others who are long gone, yet GH's is still outdated. Don't they have more of a budget than OLTL and AMC? What's the holdup? :huh:

They need a massive update. GH is the worst out of all the shows about updating their openings. The last time I think was in 2007 when Megan Ward joined the show.

That's the last time they added anyone. However, when Robin Christopher left as Skye in 2008, they edited her out the day after she left, lol.

While I'm not exactly sure, my guess is that they do. After all, ABC just spent $3 million on transitioning GH to HD.

GH isn't getting a new opening and I'm tired of asking and GH saying yes. In fact, a couple of months ago I got an email from ABC specifically telling the press about their new opening coming soon and yet the damn thing never aired. Wonder why?

Maybe they want the illusion they actually have black people on the show.

DC ran a hilarious entry on this by J. Bernard Jones yesterday.

One of his points was (paraphrasing) "how can shoestring GL afford to change its opening EVERY DAY, and GH do it never?".

He also implored "by all that is holy" for a change :).

Maybe someone needs to start one of those "beating of the drums" posts :).

Seriously, there are so many people that are not in the opening. Claudia?!?! Isn't she suppose to be the star of the show, haha.. Completely disregarded in the opening.

Johnny? Rebecca? Ethan? nuMichael? Olivia?

Maybe they'll update when Ric leaves in June. They are long overdue.
