Okay, but here is how it is playing in my head. Daniel is stupid. He'll go along. But then, it turns out HE IS MAKING CONVINCING FORGERIES. Except, it's REALLY for the bad guys.

Now, he's caught up in a web of lies that can lead to his death (at the hands of the underworld) or his prosecution (at the hands of the feds).

He suddenly becomes another "caper-er", and can no longer position himself as "holier than thou" vis-a-vis Amber and Kevin. At the same time, the only one who can really help him is Jana--because of her long-established ties to the art world.

My only fear is that this story will also have to involve art history major Colleen.

This is exactly the story I do not want to see.

I guess I wouldn't have hated it from the get-go AS MUCH had Daniel not given into this FBI guy from the start. Maybe if this guy hounded Daniel for a while and he relented, I would hate this MESS less, but that just goes to show MAB's RIDICULOUS PACING style.

Let's face it, MAB is from the art world...she's always gonna keep gravitating back to that. Maybe she'll show us how it is done right.

She should know by now that she's failed repeatedly at incorporating art into this show. LET. IT. GO. MARIA.

MAB's RIDICULOUS PACING style.

We're definitely seeing a whole bunch of stories in transition all at once... It doesn't bother me as much as you...

Maybe if it were the only way Amber could get off for her part in the bank robbery it would have made a little more sense.

I already hate this f-cking Daniel storyline, it's already coming off as Reliquary 2.0 to me, I bet that hack-ass Scott Hamner was behind it, or this is indeed the storyline Steven Kent pitched to Graz during his contract talks a few weeks back.

What kind of f-cking justification is, "Well, you don't want art works to be stolen, right!?!"

Why the hell does Daniel care unless his UNKNOWN work isn't being stolen?

What kind of nonsense is this?!?!

EXACTLY!

I have to admit the kick off to the story is rather weak. But I was going to say something similar to what Mark is saying. If MAB plays up the human elements of the story and not the ART, it may work. I could see myself enjoying a story like Mark describes above.

If it turns into a cultural lesson on ART, then we have a problem.

I think your "symphony" is crumbling miserably at the moment. Too much clutter going on right now, nothing is clear anymore.

But I know you're an apologist for TPTB, so I know you'll refuse to believe what I've said. :)

People are bashing MAB?!?!? Noooooooooo... 3312fj8.gif3312fj8.gif3312fj8.gif

She deserves it Sylphy, this show has become "meh" and this Daniel storyline is pure nonsense.

So far... From what I've read here and seen on my TV screen, Maria Arena sucks in these areas:

1. Romance.

2. New characters introduction.

3. Pacing.

Pacing sucks.

But let's see how it plays out, people. Come on!!

Maybe she's learned from her past mistakes?

Maybe she'll get the pacing down over the next few years?

I'm not ruling her out yet. I love the pacing for the Adam story.

There's a morsel of brilliance there.

Maria Arena is, however, excellent at giving people the so-called historic references-induced erections. She does it every time. Flawlessly.

This show has become almost compltely "plot-driven" again. I'm just not understanding the motivations of these characters clearly anymore. Every show needs some plot, yes, but the characters are doing things without clear motivations to me right now.
