I was going to day she looks more like Beverley Penberthy's Pat.

But Pat Nixon is a better fit.

@vetsoapfan It reminds me more of Pat Nixon...

To be fair, I have seen JC's hair look much like that, but the resemblance just isn't there.

What about the poster in the background -'Another World World' George Reinholt looks like a mashup of Robert Vaughan and John Forsythe.

I know. Blechh. The Reinholt reproduction is even worse than the one of JC.

That being said, my friend did send me some other images which fared significantly better.

If they were real celebrity dolls, I'd like to buy them.

Sadly AI seems to be taking over social media, including the soap opera forums. This AI generated "doll" looks vaguely like Pat (Beverly Penberthy), but doesn't resemble Alice (Jacquie Courtney) at all.

The renditions of Elizabeth Taylors and Paul Newman from "Cat..." are pretty good.

I know; AI seems to be seeping into every nook and cranny of our lives. I'm not really a fan.

Yes; I wish they were real. CAT is one of my all-time favorite films.

This AI-generated image of celebrity hunks is floating around, too, but aside from the novelty of having all of them in one shot, enjoying each other's company, I can't really fathom the need to create a shot like this.

To each his own, to be sure.🤷‍♂️

Probably for someone with a smoking fetish.

I can't imagine how they would enjoy actual footage, if it existed of '60s/'70s AW hunks puffing away (I assume some did).

Then someone would probably ask if there were any in bare feet...

Yup, it's AI. Notice that Another World World is apparently a Paramount release.

I figured someone with a smoking fetish must have created the shot of the actors smoking. It doesn't feature vintage AW performers, however. The men in the picture are Theo James, Henry Cavill, Chris Evans and (I think) Leo Goodall on the right. They are all popular actors today. The thing is, there are real, actual photographs on the internet of all of them smoking cigarettes, so why bother creating a fake?

But again, to each his own.

Oh, I know (well, I knew Chris Evans). Just keeping it on topic for AW.

Which is what we all should do, as easy as it is to go off on tangents at times (as I did, above).🙃

Although I don't use AI and generally dislike it, I was stumped as to why the likenesses of Jacquie Courtney and George Reinholt were so awful, when the images of Elizabeth Taylor, Paul Newman, Judy Garland and even the smoking boys were all pretty good. So I took a plunge into the deep end, and tried to coax a commendable image of JC from AI.

This was the best result I could get, after multiple tries☹️....

UGH.

I think AI just does not have enough available data on "lesser known" celebrities to reproduce them effectively. All the other actors surely have a stronger, more widespread presence on social media, from which AI can cull better image examples for reference.

It's a shame Mary was never on any soaps again after her primetime career ended.

I first saw her on Duet. I really liked her, even though Chris Lemmon and Alison LaPlaca were viewer favorites (and took over the show).

Mary survived the switch to Open House although the boyfriend character did not. I also faithfully watched her in Baby Talk and Camp Wilder. I remember seeing her on an episode of Grimm and noticing that she and Thomas Ian Griffith also wrote an episode. More recently looking at IMDB they have writing and producer credits on a series called Virgin River.

These rough floor plans are xeroxed and copies are given to the serial's directors for an analysis of the new. room's "geography" — to make certain that cameras can be moved around easily. The revised floor plans are next routed to the show's carpenters who draw elevations and estimate the cost of building materials, paper, and paper hanging.

The logistics must have been amazing.

I think by the time of Open House she was an alcoholic and I don't even remember how much comedy they gave her.

I remember watching her in Baby Talk, and Julia Duffy (was Julia before or after Mary?).

Virgin River seems to do well for Netflix so that's nice for them.
