Yes, Floyd Watts only existed as part of Sharlene's backstory. I believe Sharlene went by the surname Watts when she was first introduced in 1975, then took the name Matthews during her marriage to Russ, and Frame upon her return to Bay City in 1988.

AW was funny sometimes about last names. Matthew kept the last name of Cory, which made sense because Mac played a big part in raising him and Mac and Rachel were married for much of his youth. However  Matthew did briefly consider changing his name to Blake (his father's last name). Part of it was when Matthew was starting D&M with Dean. Matt didn't like the seemingly preferential treatment the last name Cory was giving him. I suppose he could've also assumed Davis, his mother's maiden name.

Because the show seemed to focus on Josie being a Frame more than a Matthews, I would've thought it more likely that Josie would take the Frame surname.

But then again, Lorna kept the name Devon and, majority of the time, Iris went by a husband's last name, starting with Carrington and ending with Wheeler. Ada could've used her maiden name of Lucas, but she kept the name Hobson from the time that she married Charley until her death.

Paulina has been edited out because her only scene was cop shop, Ryan, questions.

Thank you. Based on the AWHP synopses I suppose this is from August 5, 1969. 

I have seen it mentioned but if he supposedly threw chairs on other sets I can't be confident how true it is. These kinds of stories have a tendency to pick up additional details as they go around so maybe an incident on one soap gets told as happening on another, or about one actor gets attributed to another more famous one.

 

Incidentally, in Eight Years in Another World, Lemay mentions an unnamed drunk actor who threw a chair on set one day. He was fired. Whoever he was, he was not the actor (Nicolas Coster?) mentioned in the same paragraph who was fired for habitually not knowing his lines.

I attended a taping of a morning show that Sandra Ferguson and Robert Kelker-Kelly appeared on about a year and a half into their run. I was there when they arrived, and spoke to them for a couple minutes. They were both pleasant and nice to me (I was underage), but it was very obvious that Sandra Ferguson was not a fan of RKK as she always made sure that there were people between them and she was constantly inching away from him. It felt to me that there had been a fight between them before they arrived. Now, I wonder if it was just a constant pattern. 

As I posted in the OLTL thread, Clint Ritchie threw a chair at Erika Slezak during one of his drunken outbursts.  I can't think of any other chairs. I don't think the Bergman/Braeden contretemps involved chairs.

The throwing chairs events I referred to earlier were Y&R's Braden & Bergman and OLTL's someone in regard to Linda Gottlieb.

I never liked Mark Pinter as Grant. I am watching Dack Rambo as Grant, and he's so much more charismatic and he works better with everyone. The character is so much more fascinating. Pinter just made him a one note villain. I know Rambo for personal reasons and it breaks my heart knowing what happened, but Rambo is just so good as Grant.   I also like Christine Andreas as Taylor. I liked her when she was sane, and I liked her when she was crazy Taylor. I wish she had been there longer. 

As I've written before, Joy Bell was so underrated. Tom Eplin should have been killed off at the end of this storyline. They are setting up for Jake's shooting and I'm ready for him to go, but I know we never get rid of him which is one of the reasons I switched to OLTL at various points because Jake did nothing for me. 

I'm again reminded of how fantastic Carmen Duncan is and how she is my Iris. The woman is just spectacular.

I've always said that Cali Timmins was unfairly fired from the role of Paulina. I thought she was far superior to Judi Evans. Timmins talks briefly about her time on AW in the Ryan's Hope Oral History book:

That's very interesting where she says that her character had been supposed to be someone else's daughter. I know we have speculated here before about whether Paulina would have been Felicia's daughter.
