It would be totally satisfying if Jill was to double cross both Gloria and Jeff in the end and send them both to prison.

Barbie Bloom seems to have a hard-on for Shackleford.

Since her grip on Y&R doesn't seem to be as tight as it was during LML's era, they should just send him away. No need for a character like that.

Stop the Australian racism, DeeeDee!

With Michael who has the power to free any criminal in a matter of a few weeks? They'd both be out soon.

but you know, Tammin did love the "Palm Springs" storyline.

Now we can expect answers like "are you never going to let that go" or maybe just a simple " "

Pretty strange that for someone that is not a big star and that hasn't been with the show for very long gets all of these outs. If that isn't suspicious, I don't know what is.

Exactly! It's the same as "Frons doesn't impact the ABC soaps in any way."

Considering that Ted Shackleford was one of CBS' biggest stars in the 1980s and is reported to be very nice, I am pretty sure that his connections at CBS go way above Bloom's. When LML fired him, the rumors were that it was the CBS exes not Bloom to strong armed LML into rehiring him.

That works!

This loathing seems prejudicial, not based in fact.

Fine. I could live with that.

I don't see how you could have watched the "Christmas Carol" episode, or the moment of glory after Kevin came out of the catatonia, or the drama in the boxcar, or the boxing ring years ago...and SAY this.

Because, who else on this show gets that much pimp-age?!

We're seeing what happens if you spend your first 50 years at the bottom of Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

FYI: You are not the only post-er here with an expensive college education, so stop acting like it.

Of course he is... it's visible from miles afar.

Remember when he told her in bed to get away from him because she'll end up hurt...... or something like that.

I know, I know, I know. I was just hoping - beyond hope obviously - that they weren't gonna go there with him. Call me living in a fantasy world, but after today....well.....my bubble has been burst.

I know people don't want this mentioned but... Dear God in Heaven! Every time I turn around in DTS, the Y&R thread seems to have expanded by another four pages!

...and dear Lord, is that a ball gag?

Mr. Alleged Sony Benefactor has exotic tastes!

i take my bitching from earlier back...

this thread is random, crazy, over the top, full of speculation and accusations, heartfelt confessions and apologies.... this is the best thread. EVER!

all we need is a little murder and changed identity and it would be like an episode of Y&R!

We are seeing an evocative portrait of a survivor. We're seeing what happens if you spend your first 50 years at the bottom of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. I guess you prefer fantasy on daytime??

You mean Gloria not being locked away for good in some dirty prison surrounded by butches isn't fantasy enough? Sigh.

Gloria is a DIFFERENT character. She's being written in a way that doesn't conform to some Soaps 101 template. Gloria is a true original because she is not redeemed, and she does not seek redemption.

Gloria is a one-note, boring, predictable, stupid, and vile character that wore out her welcome years ago and contributes absolutely nothing to the show.

At the same time, she's not Sheila Carter evil...so we don't have to write her off. She's just bad enough that we can throw spitballs at the screen, all the while laughing at her next misadventure. "Here Fisher--here's a piece of steak--run out into the middle of the street and eat it."

At least I, at times, felt something for Sheila. And yeah, she was lots more fun to watch.
