I'm torn on the David in Zach's face stuff. Zach deserves it and then some, but David is such a sleazebag and has done far worse than Zach, so he should be looking in a mirror and keeping his big mouth shut.

Loving Erica taking care of Jackson. I hate to hear Jack blaming himself for something that wasn't his fault.

Right now I hope Kendall kicks Zach to the curb but I don't want her screwing around with bug-eyes either.

I don't get this. David's not allowed to be upset about someone he loves being run off the road? David's not judging Zach just to judge him (the way Angie basically did with David since day one, based on what she's heard from the unbiased Torturer Tad Martin). David's upset because Greenlee was someone he cared deeply about and Zach is going around taking the blame for running her off the road. It would be one thing if David was acting sanctimonious while no one EVER called him on his stuff. But even when David's not on that day, there will be a character bashing him tenfold for the stuff his done. Especially if Rebecca Taylor's writing.

David: "Hi."

Amanda: "What do you mean 'Hi,' you filthy, smarmy letch that paid me to get J.R. drunk?!"

David: "I was just --"

Tad: "You were just what, you disgusting, evil, sadistic excuse of a human being? About to poison some more people with Libidizone?!"

David: "Shut up, Martin."

Opal: "Don't you tell my boy to shut up, you rejected spawn of Lucifer that's got Krystal hooked on pills!"

I mean, really.

This is too funny! However, I hate David, and I don't love to hate him either - just pure unalduterated hate. The character is worthless because he does nasty disgusting things just because. There is no valid reason (this is how Reilly wrote Alistair Crane, and we all know what a ridiculous cartoon villian he was). Pratt the Jackass just tossed David back in and said write some bad stuff for him. It does not have to make sense because the idiot audience just wants Vincent back. I wish David were gone. Either redirect this maggot or remove him from the canvas.

I thought today's episode had several fantastic scenes.

The first to come to mind was Erica comforting Jack. Leave it to Erica to know that Greenlee's a fighter because she's just like her! It was also nice that the writers acknowledged she understood his loss since it was so similar to what she just went through with Josh.

David's reaction to Greenlee's "death" brought both a Leo mention and more blame of Zach. :D :D :D

I also loved Aidan telling Ryan that he wasn't worthy of Greenlee. Now, Aidan needs to go save Annie from that one-dimensional Bitch Doctor, stat!

Kendall's reaction to Bianca's news was awesome! I loved how she called her sister out for marrying Reese despite her doubts. The old bitchy Kendall is definitely emerging again.

I can't wait to hear Bianca let Reese have it tomorrow!

I just watched the episode...

Cameron Mathison was TERRIBLE :omg:

Dear God... enough with DeadBabe...no wonder they didn't remove her from the opening... she is still on the show

I loved Bianca/Kendall argue. Like true Kane sisters.

KWAK is just dumb.

I LOVED angry Bianca at the end of the episode.

So, Kendall talking to GhostGreenlee was just a dream...

I don't get it. I just don't see how writers can win these days.

If they do a death and don't do a followup to it then they are criticized, and then if they build a story that shows people dealing with a loss then they are criticized too.

I am glad that Krystal and David and JR and others haven't forgotten Babe. Dammit that their wife and daughter. I a whole lot rather have them mention her and have it affect their life than the way Erica and Kendall and Bianca have dealt with Josh's death or Myrtle's death. Hell it has been a little over a month since Erica's surrogate mother died and she hardly mentions her and she hardly even mentions her son.

I wish Pratt would deal with all the deaths the way he has with Babes. I think he has done the others way wrong.

Of course I can't help but wonder how much it has to do with hate for the character Babe than it does for the way the story is written. I mean damn Kendall was just in a coma for 3 months and there wasn't hardly a day that didn't go by that her name was mentioned but for most that was okay.

Maybe it's just a protective mechanism, or the equivalent of Battered Viewers Syndrome but I didn't give a damn about anything on today's show. Well that's not entirely true...

I liked Erica being selfless. The way she told Bianca "I'm not their mother" and the way she pulled Jack into her arms. I love watching WW and SuLu in scenes together. They have a beautiful connection. (The actors, not necessarily the characters.) The same goes for Susan and Eden. Even when the writing has been lacking, they've always been able to convey a truly loving mother/daughter dynamic.

JMHO.

*waits for the charges of fanbase fanaticism*

    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.

    • I decided this primetime soap deserved it's own thread as the Primetime soaps thread is very cluttered and why shouldn't NBC's Lorimar soap mot have a chance to shine? In doing a deeper dive into the second season ratings I was surprised to see that FR actually had an uptick in the ratings when NBC moved it to 9pm Tuesdays beginning March 82. I'd always assumed this move was a desperate one as NBC were running short of programming and had given up on the show, deciding to let the final episodes play out and be hammered by 3's Company  and CBS Movie. But the numbers paint a different story. In it's 10pm slot up against Hart to Hart, which regularly finished in the Top 20, FL premiered in 53rd place and placed in the 40's and 50's as the season continued. But come January 82 the numbers surged a little now moving into the 40's hitting #43 in Feb. Hart to Hart was #11 Then in March Bret Maverick was moved to 8pm with FR @9. First week 16th March FR #47 15.1/24 3's Company #3 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #60 Not great but #2 in it's timeslot March 23 FR #44 15.6/25 3's Company #4 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #33 So even with a stronger movie on CBS FR's numbers went up. March 30 FR #31 16.6/26 3's Company #9 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #56 Best rating/position yet Tues April 6 pre empted Tues April 14 FR #36 16.0/26 3's Company #5 Too Close for Comfort #11 CBS Movie #59 Maintaining previous week's numbers Tues April 21 FR #33 15.6/24 3's Company #3 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #60 Numbers down a little (reflecting general spring downturn) but best ranking of the season so far Tues April 28 FR #35 15.1/23 3's Company #9 Too Close for Comfort #6 CBS Movie #42 Tues May 4 FR #27 15.2/24 3's Company #5 Too Close for Comfort #4 CBS Movie #41 Season finale and highest position of the season. Looking at those numbers I wonder why NBC cancelled the show? They had very few hits and here was a show that was holding it's own and moving up in the rankings in a tougher timeslot. And being a serial, the storylines could continue to build the following season. And I'm sure the desirable W18-49 demo was good. Some might argue that CBS were shower weaker movies, but even so, soap viewers are pretty loyal. I guess Grant Tinker arrived at NBC and wanted a classier look but there was room for FR on the schedule. I mean, the following season Knight Rider,Powers of Matthew Star and the A Team arrived so there was still room for more populist fare. Flamingo could have stayed at 9pm-the replacement Gavilan bombed (surely FR would have done better} or moved back to 10pm. The following Jan NBC had a hit with A Team Tues 8pm. Had Flamingo followed it, it might have really taken off. As it was they tried Bare Essence, which flopped. Oh well,it was not to be...
    • Always, in every way, Cass/Wally/Felicia foundational to my viewing. And, I think if we look at the aftermath of the disastrous 90 minute show that we find too many pockets of some kind of lost time at the show plus way too much of change-ups in exec & writing leadership and of course we also reach the first time it becomes notable that NBC wants to get rid of the show so they can put a new soap they own in the timeslot.
