Hunter Tylo fans: please, react

Taylor the character has been written into a dead end! Unless she's reunited with Ridge, I don't see what else the writers can do with her.

A Tridge reunion would be nauseating enough, and Ron Moss has definitely made it very clear that he wants Ridge & Brooke to be a permanent couple.

As for Hunter Tylo, sorry to her fans, but I think she's one of the worst actresses on daytime! Taylor's "romantic scenes" in particular are very unconvincing, and Tylo can't match Flannery and KKL when it comes to confrontational or bitchy stuff.

For what it's worth...I've heard that Ron Moss AND Katherine Kelly Lang are both adamant that Ridge and Brooke need to get stable and that the years of triangles need to end. They're OK with the relationship being like, say Victor and Nikki on Y&R (together then not then together then not etc), in that the endgame is Ridge and Brooke...but both actors are unwilling to do years apart because they think it is beyond ridiculous. Both seem aware that their days as young lovers are drying up quickly and that they want to establish themselves as the next Eric and Stephanie before it becomes mandatory. This move doesn't affect Susan Flannery or John McCook in the least...those two call the shots, make no mistake about that.

"I remember when she started to develop feelings for Eric...and she INSTANTLY put the brakes on it...out of respect for Stephanie."

I remember Taylor was going to pursue Eric more until she found Stephanie in his bed. It wouldn't bother me in the least if HT left. I think the character has run it's course on the show.

Hunter is now claiming that she's not leaving and has a big storyline coming up. And Taylor neeeeds Ridge back right now, for the sake of the kids, lol. What kids? Is Thomas ever on and the other one has moved on with her life.

Probably once again, she's worried about being fired and is rallying the troops to let Bradly know how necessary she is.

One thing that I've seen out of print and on-line interviews with both Moss and Lang is that they're just tired of the back and forth nature of the relationship. Ronn, for instance, was kind of hopeful when Eileen Davidson came over to B&B and was linked to Ridge, because he was hoping that maybe, for a change, something new would happen other than the same old thing. But of course, post-Brooke's rape, the same old thing happened and it was bye-bye Ashley and hello again, Brooke. So if that's where they're going to inevitably wind up, both actors seem to want to just let it stay there. Like you said, they don't want years apart, since that's where every Brooke/Ridge pairing winds up.

Of course (getting back to the subject of this thread) that leaves little for Hunter. Most of her stories have been tied to the Brooke/Ridge/Taylor triangle, and there's probably not much future for her with Thorne or Nick given how her relationships with them ended. So hopefully, whatever story plans B&B has for Taylor amount to more than just the triangle, since I think everyone's tiring of that after all the times that's been rehashed.

    • The funeral was not onscreen - only the Brooks returning home after the service. Not aware of any available clips.

I would only add that Sam Ratcliff is frequently named in regards to certain AW comedic turns.  And, we know from Carolyn Culliton (tweet 2024) that Sam & Gary put their heads together & came up with that gorilla.
    • I knew you would be so excited seeing your girl Brookey as #1!!!! She also WINS as to Frequently Married!!!
    • Yes, Stacy does this both for early DAYS & early GH. I have written some for her, for DAYS. But just one tiny point & that is that she only deals with DVDs. I realize that is not the point of your posting but it seemed the right thing to clarify. I know that you know that video tapes is past, not present.
    • Hahahha I think sleeping with almost all of your daughters's boyfriends and husbands and getting pregnant... definitely gives Brooke the right to top 1 place. Long live the whore of Beverly hills.

    • CurlyQGrl has DVDs of some episodes, that they can sell, but that doesn't matter. What is helpful: they describe the scenes on the tapes, so you can read that as recaps without ordering anything. Doesn't really give storylines, though, which is what you asked for.  Here's the links anyhow. full menu https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/menu.html GH page https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/menu.html GH 1960s https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/eps/gheps1960s.htm
    • I would argue that Another World never played "everything" for laughs. Even when there were comedic scenes in some storylines there were other storylines that were not intended as comedy.  You give 1988 as the end point, and Mary was on the canvas from August 1986 to February 1989, so she must have overlapped with the despised laughs you are referring to at least half of the time she was there. I honestly can't recall any real comedy that Mary would have been part of. I don't think she was lighthearted about choosing between two husbands, MJ's prostitution, Kathleen's death, or even her son Scott dating her daughter Cheryl.  I would have said that the amount of comedy depended on the head writer and there was more comedy under Richard Culliton and Gary Tomlin in 1984 than subsequent headwriters. I guess there was an outbreak of more comedy when Cecile kidnapped Cass from his wedding in 1986, but in general the Sin Stalker wasn't presented as funny, Mitch's return wasn't funny, John's arrival wasn't funny, Reginald wasn't funny. The tone was serious even if the plots verged on the ludicrous. And maybe that's what you mean -- but I would make a distinction between intentional comedy and storylines I can't take seriously for other reasons.
    • I'm excited for us to get back to a full weeks worth of episodes and also us beginning to move into the episodes filmed once the show premiered. We're already starting to see changes in the lighting and the way certain characters are styled. Of course we know this week we have our first recast as well. After the big Eva reveal, I hope the show continues to move into a positive direction and that we see them starting to fix some of the things we've all had issues with.
    • It seems like they may have been going in one direction for Andre and then changed their mind. He had this player/bachelor thing going at first where he was messing with Dani, seemed to be feeling Eva, and then somehow smitten by bland Ashley of all people. I feel like Ashley was supposed to be the one that finally made him want to be with someone and settle. The way he talked her up in those earlier episodes was really confusing. The wonderful, amazing nurse Ashley and conveniently she's unattainable because she has a partner, but he can't stop thinking of her and takes these busted pics of her. It was a mess. However, it all seems to have been dropped. I honestly feel like Andre can go. That may be an unpopular opinion but I don't need his breathy final syllable to be content with BTG. It's always like "There's gotta be another wh-ahyy"
