Sounds like tptb are making a last ditch effort to try and save the character of Taylor...

Triangle? Maybe that is why Dixie comes back to town! I'm fine with it as long as Jake doesn't get sucked into it...he needs to be with Amanda...

Um, Dixie is coming back to town? Say what? Where did you hear that? Was it confirmed?

Speaking of soap-hops, there’s a rumour circulating on board that Jacob Young (JR, AMC) is being courted by CBS to reclaim his Emmy-nominated role as Rick Forrester. It’s no secret that Young’s contract is about to expire on the struggling ABC soap.

Finger crossed. JY is a bad actor and JR sucks.

Dixie isn't coming back to town, if anything the triangle is probably with Brot. I like Taylor & Brot, don't throw Tad in the mix.

It does fit though with Pratt saying Tad would get a love story. Wow Pratt actually listened to viewers for a change, I know there were alot who wanted Tad with Taylor and MEK said he wanted Tad paired with Taylor

Tad & Taylor? Eh, I couldn't care less.

As for Jacob Young being courted by CBS to join B&B, I really hope he goes. I'm sick of his over-the-top cringe worthy look at me I'm acting performances. Hopefully they'll recast with a better actor.

I'd rather see Taylor stay with Brot.

I don't want to see a romance for Tad. I'd like to see major repair work done on Tad, because right now I find him too unsympathetic and too weighed down by the last few years of destructive behavior before I see him paired with another woman he's going to be sanctimonious towards, be controlling towards, be cold towards.

That's the biggest problem with most of the men on AMC, but especially the Martin men.

LMAO at lesli kay she is the last person to be talking about anyone's acting style, but hopefully it was done in good humor. If tad is with taylor where does that leave kwak with? If its adam that isn't good and she is just awful with david. The old adam was starting to return, if he's paired with kwak again, she'll have his balls in her purse again.

How this Tad/Taylor thing goes over should be interesting since, IMO, Beth Ehlers is a Cady McClain look-a-like.

Jacob Young is going to have one very very angry Brian Frons on the phone with him soon, due to his "don't watch on SoapNet" comments. I actually agree with JY though.

RavenBeauty spoiled it last week I think...she hinted heavily that tptb were going to try and bring Cady back as Dixie...

Wow....about JY... I guess that would go hand in hand about his comments to tape both CBS and ABC soaps...hedging his bets much?

I hope this is another thing that RavenBeauty is wrong about. As much as I loved Dixie I don't want her to be brought back from the dead. For once for God's sake let someone stay dead. soaps just keep ruining themselves with all this [!@#$%^&*].

If MEK and Tad can made Taylor and BeE likable, then go for it. Nothing else is working for me right now, including Brot. Tad and Frankie are the only ones who have some chemistry with her, that I've seen. Being with Tad will force Taylor to interact with everyone, including JR, KWAK, baby Jenny, Kathy, Opal, etc. She's way too isolated now. She was originally hired to play Liza so it's a smart move, imo. It might give Jake a better storyline, too.

Maybe JY was the one that all of the rumors leaving have been about. Maybe a JR recast would work if JR was off the canvas for a while, I don't know.

    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton practically twirling his moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?

    • Thanks for asking that!  Back when we had another major event upcoming (a party or the concert), I had intended to ask what everyone here was planning to wear.

    • Lol. Right?  I mean the show could have framed the 60th anniversary in a different way, but the narrative was celebrating Tom and the hospital. Also, what a weirdly sexist bunch of posts about women's nail polish.  Like, yes, this is Days problem lol.  Stacy Haiduk isn't a good Kristen because she doesn't wear nail polish?  Are we in the 1950's???
