I've never seen Deborah Adair as Jill before those two clips on YouTube and I'm very intrigued. The 73-84 period of Y&R has always interested me since it seems so forgotten and difficult to find among collectors. I've always wanted to see her take on Jill and from those clips she seems better than I expected. The presence and bitchiness seems to be there. Not in full force like Brenda, but you must consider where she is in life and the time period. I'm sure when she returned in 1986 she was just as campy as Dickson because that's just how things were at the time in the 80s. If you look at Dickson clips from when she first returned, it wasn't full on camp from the start.

So now I've seen Melinda Fee, Jess Walton, Brenda Dickson and Deborah Adair as Jill.

So all you need now is Bond Gideon and Judith Chapman. :) I've seen Melinda on other soaps but never as Jill, where'd you catch that?

In a SOD article back in the '90s, Jerry Douglas raved about Adair's Jill. It was obvious that he really enjoyed working with her and he liked the dimensions she brought to the role. Then again, maybe he was just relieved to be working with someone other than Brenda. :P

Terry Lester got along very well with Brenda, as did the guy who played David Kimble. She also got along very well with Thom Bierdz. Hmmm. There is an interesting element here. lolll. But she got along well with Jeanne as well.

I LOVED Brenda Dickson as Jill and although I feel bad saying it- I would welcome her back tomorrow. She's gotta dye her hair brown though. She looks terrible as a blonde.

I dont know about Terry Lester but I know she did get along with Thom and Jeanne. Thom said they kept in touch and I think he invited her to his art gallery showing.

I'd love to see Brenda as Jill too. It would be a hoot to see her opposite Eileen Davidson and Jeanne Cooper again. I am curious also to see her opposite Peter Bergman.

Brenda's Jill was not always the whacked out sequine wearing baffoon they turned her into...the early Jill, the hard working family loving Jill during the early years was MY Jill...by the end of Brenda's run as Jill she looked more like Carol Burnett's "Norma Desmond"

I know Brenda's not interested in doing another soap, but duh to the nth degree that this woman is LONG overdue for a character written just for her on The Bold and the Beautiful. I mean, after all she was B&B's muse, and that's not a metaphor. Brenda was created for shows like B&B and Passions. I know her history with the Bells might make this whole idea seem implausible, but it's been a long time, let bygones be bygones. Just a sweet little 6 month arc for her. I don't even watch B&B but I would definitely tune in to watch her go head-to-head with Stephanie as the queen of a rival fashion house. Maybe a hitherto unseen relative of Sally’s who wants to revive Spectra.
