Josh is one of the most tragic characters in the history of soaps. From jump street, this dude's very existence has just been so sad and pathetic to me... the fans don't want him, his mother didn't want him, and now the writers don't even want him. He and Reva's clone need to meet for coffee up in soap heaven.

There would be so much more drama in making all the Kane's, Erica especially, go through the motions of choosing one child over another, choose Kendall over Josh, pulling the plug on her only "son", etc. only to reveal as they go to put his heart into Kendall, that he's not a match, and he never was. I can't imagine what Erica would feel at that moment, gah, something like that would have been such emotional material for Susan.

But of course, that's to human and real. So we'll get cheap violence, "oh Josh is brain dead, give Kendall his heat" and be done with it, with Josh never being mentioned again.

This really means nothing. AMC is a dead soap (second least watched soap program of the season far, far, far and away from those second-fourth place slots of yester-year-year-year) we can see that with it's horrid ratings/ratings placements. Does it really mean much if Zach and Kendell are "popular" If no one is watching ? That's the equivilient to saying someone on Passions was popular. More to the point are they even still popular? I doubt it and if they are there fanbase has diminshed considerably since 2006 where they were arguably at their peak. Zach's character has been unlikeable and been pulled threw the mud consistently for years now and this Josh storyline isn't going to help him. If anything it will bring out the pitchforks and blow tourches out even faster. Kendell is atleast semi-salvagable. This transplant storyline might give her sympathy and starve off the hate that she gets for being such a consistent airtime hog. Zach? He has pissed off so many fanbases, so many fans and the writing for him is down right deplorable that he is easily the "Ryan of 2008/2009". Can anyone stand him still? I know I can't.

Why are we concerned about Zach? Why aren't we more concerned about the Kane lineage and the fact that they are killing off Erica's only male child? This goes so much further then Zach's popularity and approval rating. That's insignificant. What is really concerning is the butchering of Erica's family tree and the horrid cartoon representation that Pratt is inflicting on Bianca, Josh and Erica.

Really dislike this spoiler. I would rather have had Josh come back to town because he heard about Kendall, mend fences with Zach(and Erica) and if he really needs to die; have him get into an accident and have that be, where the drama comes into play.

But if they follow up on it there is more conflict for the Kanes in the long run this way.

The way it is sounding the death will be more Josh's fault than Zach's since he is the one attacking Zach but in the long run there will be more drama and fall out.

They will all be happy that Kendall can live, but Kendall will wrestle with the fact that she got her brother's heart but also due to conflict started by Josh and then Zach banishing him - she also ended up losing her brother.

I just hope that Pratt doesn't follow suit with so many of today's soap opera writers and not explore the conflict and just wrap it up neat and clean in a few weeks. This is the type of story that could affect story for years to come if it is done right.

I would love to see it break Zach and Kendall up for now and then in the next year watch them work their way back to one another. That is what soap opera has been about and should be about.

It could be as good as the breakup story that Mac & Rachel had on Another World in 1978/1979. They did not get back together until 1981 but oh the 3 years was some of the best soap opera there ever was. It started out from something that Rachel did. They separated and divorced. Mac got involved with Janice who tried to kill him. Rachel had to sleep with Mitch in order to save Mac's life of course leading to her getting pregnant. It was a story that went on for about 5 years total.

Sadly today fans won't tolerate a story going too long and a story like this needs time to heal all the wounds; deal with all the fallout; and finally bring everything back together.

I look forward to the story as I have said and reserve judgement until I fully see what Pratt does with it.

Word. I wish Josh was a twin, but I grew to like him and his place within the Knae family.

This is shoddy writing and it WILL be wrapped up quickly because Pratt likes having IMPORTANT things happen OFF SCREEN!

So, Kendall will be pissed off and hurt (and really, it is TPTB for having this character- and others- hog and carry the show, namely Frons who wants Ryass to be center-stage, but is SUCH as sh*tty character, that he needs Zen and others to prop him up!), Zach will be blamed for his sh*t (GOOD!) and the Kane family will be in chaos.

Well, how to fix this? Not sure, but I will agree that it IS a shame that fans will not watch a long-term story. Why? Because TPTB like to run the WRONG things into the ground, like shoving characters down our throughts (namely Frons/writers favorites) and not telling the damn story!

All I know is that I can't wait to have REAL!Kendall back on my screen. Compared to that, I could care less about Bianca, Reese and Zach, at this point.
