Biden is 1000 percent in it for the WIN.

A little remark - Joe actually is absolutely coherent, the only thing I would say that needs to happen is - he needs to have a vocal rest and drink some honey-tea before interviews. IF he is saying all this more-clearly and more vocal strength - he will be the same Joe Biden from years ago. His cold/flu and traveling/debating/talking has made his voice really weak. Nearly 10 years ago I had laryngitis (in my case from screaming at a concert and talking non-stop for a long time) and for a long time I was speaking in a similar manner. It was very hard.

@I Am A Swede we'll pray together, friend, like you pray for the Dingles' demise on Emmerdale.

@Maxim I thought Biden did good on the interview with Speedy Morman too. I think Joe just needs to slow down when speaking. He talks so fast at times that he stumbles over his words, which gives the media "gotcha" moments when we know that Joe has always been the King of Gaffes but knows what he is talking about. And I am just glad that I didn't sit and watch that interview with Lester Holt. Biden needs to stray from mainstream media at this point. I wouldn't give them any interviews in the future. Let your surrogates and MVP Kamala handle the big networks. I hate how the media keeps trying to peg this man as senile when he's far from it. Meanwhile...

Trump is so mentally decayed I am not sure. This was heavily pushed by Trump's son, who shares Vance's hatred of America as well as his lack of chin. In past years Trump might have had the instincts to see that an incredibly unattractive (I'm sorry, I'm going to say it), smarmy, dead-eyed, extremely uncharismatic figure who was dragged over the line in a Senate race built for him would not be the best choice. But Trump's backers, like Peter Thiel, have built Vance from the ground up and know there's a strong chance he will be President and do the decimating of this country that they so crave.

The Beltway has already gushed over how well Vance will do in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. I have my doubts. Everything about Vance stinks of the type of man many of those people know would spit on their corpses. He wrote a book explicitly detailing how much he hates them and that any suffering they go through is their own fault. He trashed his own family for profit and clout.

Any votes Trump wins will be in spite of him. This is just naked agenda-making from the so called "nerdy new right" that those at Politico and Axios want to name their children after.

One thing I will credit scumbags and hatemongers like Matt Walsh for is they don't play the GOP games - they stick by their opinions. The Democrats who are wringing their hands or like Jared Golden saying maybe Trump winning won't be so bad should consider the same.

Amber Rose, a dubious grifter of the highest order, being put on national TV for the most cynical attempt at getting the black vote should have been more called out than it was.

There is a famous actor who once talked about how he used to stutter as a child, I can’t remember exactly who and he said that it was as if his mind was moving faster than how he could form the words and his mouth was rushing to catch up to his mind. And he had to slow down and choose his words as his mother would often remind him to do. Biden is likely feeling like his has to get out everything he has to say or it might somehow get lost during the flow of conversation. I agree though that he should remember as POTUS journalists and interlocutors can and will wait for him to relay his message. And if they should shift and look impatient, in the words of King Jaffe Joffer from Coming To America …”well. Let. Them. Wait!”

A girl in my elementary school used to get teased by one boy who said she talked like an old lady, she was 9 years old at the time.
Some people have nasally voices, some people have high-pitched squeaky voices, if people are going to pick, they’re going to pick and most times, there is really nothing to be done about it. Taking care with getting enough breath behind your words, making sure your thoughts are clearly heard and in proper context is the most important aspect of communicating to the public.

Coming from the theater, I wish the U.S. invested more in theater because being on stage, knowing how breath works with your body to amplify your voice and the words is a skill and it can help everyone.

He's at the NAACP. Of course he's in rare form. Biden draws energy from Black crowds. Notice how after his debate he went to Waffle House. Biden has a lifetime pass to the cookout. He knows where he's welcome. Hillary did too. That's part of why the white left hates them both so much.

    • All the time they spent trying to make viewers feel sorry for Chad only for him to not even last that long. I wonder if they knew Richard Burgi was going so quickly. You're right about Josie replacing Cheryl. On paper, this should have made sense, given all the ties Josie had to the canvas, but I did prefer Cheryl. There was something very synthetic about Alexandra Wilson.  I suppose even if she did have some fans they were just so used to getting rid of people left and right, so she was more collateral damage. As you said above I do wonder what the plans were for Peggy Lazarus. I think AWHP mentioned her once telling Peter that Peggy Lazarus wasn't her real name. Maybe she would have been another Carl moll... Rebecca Hollen never did get her due in her soap roles.
    • So true...Hackney might have had a story on FC with Richard being an old lover of his, but reveals herself to be a Cartel member and blackmails Richard with something into doing her dirty work  LOL. But of course Richard had his hands full with the double trouble sisters Ms. Jones and Ms. Braxton that season.

    • Cat herself will be a stumbling block all her own as she vowed to Chad to stay away from him, thus redeeming her of her crime morally. Classic DAYS would have them gazing longingly at each other at Doug's Place or Blondie's, while Liz is serenading the room with a song aptly chosen to represent their feelings of emotional turmoil.
    • From what I just recently watched, they were setting her up to go into future stories. She was Emmy nomination worthy in the material I saw. If some viewers did not like her, the character could have been rehabilitated after that sick storyline. It feels like they destroyed a character for fun and then tossed her to the curb. Spencer had chemistry with everyone. I'm just retroactively angry on Spencer's behalf.  You're right about how Cheryl was often forgotten and pushed aside and I would take Cheryl over Josie. I think soaps need characters like Cheryl. Characters like Josie are way too common. Josie always got on my nerves.
    • CBS was back in third place in 1994/95. That was the season CBS lost NFL broadcasting rights which also cost them several established affiliates in major media markets. 1995 CBS was sold to Westinghouse and Les Moonves arrived. 1995/96 CBS was trying to be young and cool to compete with NBC and Fox, but it was an epic failure and CBS was once again in third place.
    • I tend to think that Chad will actually listen to Jen (this time). And that will be the next stumbling block in their relationship, which will open the possibilities for Cat to seek another member of their love triangle... To iterate my earlier thought, I am also not a fan of the person Melissa Reeves, but the character of Jennifer looks so chic this week, especially in comparison to Hope (and Gabi).  That blunt haircut is a winner.
    • I think Cheryl was essentially replaced by Josie, and it seems likely that Lemay wanted to bring the Frames back into the picture and for a variety of reasons that it would be McKinnons who would make way for them. Cheryl didn't really get many layers -- she was pretty and kind and sweet and faded into the background so that Scott could participate in the AIDS storyline with Dawn. Looking at the AWHP, other than (not very) shockingly being in love with her mother's adopted son Scott, Cheryl apparently went out with Sam and flirted with much-too-old-for-her John Hudson and MJ's ex-boyfriend/pimp Chad. I know MJ told Mary that she had been a prostitute, but did she tell Cheryl and did she tell anyone about Chad's pimping?
    • I feel the same way about Melissa Reeves' Jennifer. She just makes the show feel like home by her presence alone. I am perfectly okay with them coming in every once and awhile, which probably fits Reeves' schedule better anyway. Their connections to Salem are still there: JJ, the grandkids, Jack still owning half of The Spectator ... they're perfect recurring characters. All this talk of Jennifer being in the wrong regarding Cat is absurd. Jennifer is not being villainized in any way, shape, or form, she's just being allowed to actually be human, which adds odds to the obstacle of Chad and Cat eventually getting together. All inner conflict. Keep it coming!
    • Hahaha. Jean Hackney, Angelica Nero, and the Falcon Crest henchwomen were all straight out of a James Bond movie.
    • My hunch is what you've described. JFP is likely back working on transitioning the show to a new studio and embracing new technology for its production model.
