Unfortunately, between the cancel talking points (revved up because of the yacht seizures), Putin's latest lunatic speech,  the whataboutism and claims that if you care about the Ukraine you are racist, and the bot farms that are all over Twitter today, I do think many will fall into line over here.

I don't see much evidence of that in the mainstream polling or mainstream media. This war is reviled, and Twitter spaces for far left cranks are not a reflection of broad public opinion. Those things you mentioned all exist, but they are not gaining larger traction outside of presold demographics (and even some of those, like Fox, are flagging at best).

But I suppose in the end it doesn't matter anyway - what matters are the moneymen who are pretending to care for about another week until they start lining their pockets again. And we can do nothing about them.

Well, there is rampant racism in Russia and Poland. Russia has been notorious for racist attacks for years. Most sensible people know that, in the mix, are reasonable people. The United States is also desperately racist. So where does that leave us?

^ That first clip was funny and surprisingly honest.

The clip from a few days ago of the propaganda anchor checking his watch and asking 'is Trump back yet?' after reporting on the loss of his Italian villa due to sanctions was hilarious.

Shelling a nuclear power plant seems unwise, but what do I know?

All they care about is mass destruction. The videos going around of the towns that have been turned to ruins make me sick. And just as in Syria, people are already finding excuses to blame anyone but  Putin.

A thread is that is either wise or soon to be bleakly humorous:

Yeah I was just reading that.  I mean...
The largest nuclear power plant in Europe is located in Ukraine.
It is currently being bombed right now, and is on fire.

He's making the point that the structure is different from Chernobyl's plant was, which makes it less dangerous than Chernobyl was but

still f*ing dangerous!
My reaction to that tweeter is: Don't tell me to calm down!

Yeah, the RBMK reactor is discussed at length in HBO's excellent Chernobyl miniseries. There is a significant difference.
