What?? This is just not an accurate statement. The bill is not even through Congress! That is when it will go much more public in the news. Nobody is gonna care that much about it outside of Rose Twitter when the vast majority of Americans get their money and when the provisions of the bill go into effect. Nor will it be the last bill.

And furthermore, this bill hasn't even passed a new Congress under a POTUS who hasn't taken office. It is far too soon to assume a bunch of angry socialists on Twitter = "this is the legacy of this bill that has not yet passed". There will be a media blitz over it soon enough.

I am on twitter- I only follow limited site/people but the only one I saw who mentioned it was Rubio who I rolled my eyes at(Someone retweeted it with an eyeroll). Which is why I made my comment.  I was off today and and was finishing up some painting - listening to NPR and CNN and I didn;t hear a thing about this outside of discussions more about the items directly related to COVID. Nothing about that outside of the bullet points of the plan.

Frankly, I learned awhile back it was going to be $1400 rather than 2K, so I don't understand why people are acting confused and upset now.  Maybe they heard only what they wanted to hear?
