There is no way this nomination goes through now. It's already evident that the votes are not there to confirm and there are probably even fewer now.

Is it just me, or do these allegations sound worse than the previous one?

Avenatti has been pressing Charles Grassley to respond.  Apparently Grassley has yet to do so, but I don't think he can avoid this.  Ms. Sweatnick has worked at the U.S. Mint and the State Department.  She has gone through clearance procedures (back when it wasn't just a Trumpian giveaway to relatives).  JMO but she won't be as easy to dismiss as Ramirez.

I would say it's much worse.  Not that I want to compare people's trauma, but these allegations are about premeditated drugging and gang rape. I mean, damn.  I'm disgusted he got away with it for so long.

I pray to God you are right, although I have no faith myself.  What a stain on our country this would be.  How can we even see the government as legitimate with you have Trump and Clarence Thomas in the highest offices of the land and now this guy is on deck?

I'm not sure why people keep saying she was not personally impacted. It seems like she was drugged and gang raped herself.

I think he waited several days too long (if it was the client's choice I respect that obviously). We're at the point now where this is going to be pushed through no matter what.

Avenatti's a famewhore but I suspect the delay here was more about getting her prepped and on the record.

True.

It looks like -the GOP is just doing deny, smear, they're out to get this saint of a man, and so on. They're going to push this right through and no one can stop it.

Even after Trump won I don't know if I ever felt as sick inside as I do right now.

Wait, what?  What happened to Julie Swetnick?  I'm totally lost!

IA.  I don't want to compare traumas either, because I don't want to be accused of diminishing the impact of any victim's ordeal.  However, in a way, Swetnick's account is worse, because it suggests premeditation on his and Judge's parts.

Again, though, I'm struck by two facts: 1) for the third time, Kavanaugh is depicted in the victim's account as being seriously inebriated; and 2) where Kavanaugh is, so, too, is Mark Judge.  Like, is there something else going on there, or am I reading way too much into it?

I think they were buddies who were helping each other rape women. It reminds me of predators in the wild that work together to bring down prey.  I bet if we could go back in time and talk to them in 1983, they wouldn't see it that way though. I don't think many people understood rape culture the way we do now.

While I believe the accusers, I really wish that we could get an investigation and hear from all of the witnesses.  I'd like to see the evidence and the corroborating witness lined up in an orderly fashion.  At this point, you'd think Kavanaugh would want that as well, if he's innocent.

Lindsey Graham called Avenatti a lawyer to a porn star.  Wait though...didn't current POTUS sleep with said porn star?

The hypocrisy is off the charts.  I remember seeing where Tucker Carlson had the header "Creepy porn star lawyer"  when Avenatti was on his show.  Umm How about the creepy porn star ******* President?  Not that I think porn stars are creepy anyway.  How other people make their living isn't mine to judge.

There is no solid proof that either exonerates or condemns Kavanaugh.

Tomorrow's hearing will be futile: the right will declare victory in that no evidence has been found;  the left will claim ALL accusers needs to be heard.

After tomorrow, end this: Vote or withdraw.

It's times like these when I wish life were like a soap opera and someone had a video or audio tape that reveals everything.
