I have to laugh at the media's little dears, Lindsey Graham and Mitt Romney, puffed up to no end as the intelligence and conscience of the GOP,  voting to help Putin.

Not that most of the establishment media will care, as they love Putin and hate America too.

I HATE the headline for that L.A. Times article.  "Oddly aligned"?  It's like they're saying, "Wait, you mean the Democrats actually have their [!@#$%^&*] together for once?"

Don't look now, L.A. Times, but your political bias is showing.

This is likely one of the reasons Trump is happy to keep the shutdown going. He is using furloughed workers to do whatever he wants. I won't be surprised if he keeps this up for months, knowing the media, and many in the public, will ultimately blame "both sides" or the Democrats.

...but he's a Sanders supporter, so I guess that made him aces in some people's books.

I've never followed him and I try to avoid his tweets.  The ones that I have somehow seen all seem to be videos of black people getting shot.  No thanks, life under Trump is hard enough.

Frankly it's ridiculous regardless of security concerns. Deliver a state of the union when the gvmt is not even functioning at full capacity? When employees including those who supposedly "protect" us like Border Patrol and TSA are forced to be on the job and not being paid. And lord who exactly wants Air Traffic controllers disgruntled. That job in particular is one of the most stressful jobs period.

Pelosi is  a real strategist. Take note the only people that have stood up to the so called President who is not a king by the way are women. All the white men cower and snivel to him and end up resigning anyway,

    • OH, I AM.   And it looks like it's a pretty good episode so I might watch later on this weekend after work cuz I see a lot of scenes with people I actually like. Very happy to see Rocco/Danny appear to be getting story, too.
    • I do agree that a revival of EON would work, if it doesn't fall into doing all of the typical soap opera tropes... which it became guilty of in the final few years of the show with the over abundance of Raven/Sky at the expense of the actual detectives, police, etc. And I know it was mentioned earlier that Raven had lost any true connections on the show with the death of her on screen mother, and the loss of April/Draper/Deborah.. and I do agree with that. I actually thought the show would have done something with the Shelley character that could have connected her to the Raven character.  There were a few scenes where the two would have scenes and size one another up before they would go their separate ways.. so I assumed perhaps they would have been revealed as half-siblings and/or perhaps cousins.  Alas.. not to be.
    • It definitely flowed beautifully. So much that I was annoyed when Vanessa/Doug because I wanted to get back to the party. I know it was intentional to build up tension and suspense. It worked. lol. I'm glad it was there in hingsight because it gave us that great conversation between Doug and Vanessa. Foreshadowing? And yesss!!! This episode was sooo old school soap giving beat after beat after beat leading up to the unveiling of Eva as Ted's daughter. And we still have plenty of fallout/aftereffects to work through.   Speaking of...Bill, Bill, Bill lol. Good to have confirmation HE was the scary lawyer.   I'm sure I will have a busy Monday, but I can't wait for it. I don't know what I'm looking forward to more. Probably Anita vs Silk Press Sheila tbh. And yes, I feel they will be matching each other 'blow for blow.'
    • And if they go there, it could also be tied to Johnny completely cutting him off, possibly going to work for Titan, etc.
    • @AbcNbc247 maybe it is just that they've gone to that well too often, and I don't like when DAYS goes dark, but I'm OK with EJ abusing drugs, and just skipping the whole sobriety part. Side note: experiencing hallucinations of my son killing me would be enough for me to never want to take a pill again.

    • Part of the reason that Courtney worked at OLTL was because the show had an actual character for her to play.  One that was somewhat different than her character on AW, and after the way she was treated over at AW.. it had to have been nice to be courted onto a new soap that actually valued your contributions.
    • I figured the "long" was already implied
