I think it's also about him trying to throw some raw meat to his followers, because his poll numbers are tanking so badly. They are tearing it apart like a bunch of jackals. I literally saw 2 people on newsfeeds today say that trans people should be "exterminated"... and that was the exact word they used. I then looked one of them up on our state casenet site, and found he was arrested 3 times for domestic battery. No surprise there. This is what we are dealing with.

But seriously.  What IS the rationale for denying anyone the right to defend their country (even a godforsaken one such as ours) in times of war and against enemies both foreign and domestic?  How is allowing a gay or transgendered person to serve on the battle lines a threat to everyone else's safety and security?  I just can't understand the dilemma here.

I feel the same way.  Lord KNOWS I'll never understand why anyone would choose to serve the military for this miserable country of ours.  But hey, if you wanna go overseas and fight terrorists and you just HAPPEN to be transgendered (or gay, or non-Caucasian), be my guest!

Yeah I say who cares what they are, or what their gender, or orienation, etc. is, it's no one's business.

 

Next thing you know, they'll ban transgendered persons from holding down other gov't. jobs or running for political office.
