Wait.  Did the Backstreet boy actually say he had faith in FOB's balls?

I don't feel sorry for Kanye.  Nope, not one bit.

So intercepted communications and ties with Trump campaign and Russia being investigated by intelligence, FBI, and criminal investigation unit  with the Treasury Dept.So word is this leaked so the investigation doesn't get shut down tomorrow. Obviously if they do it makes them look guilty. According to Michael McFaul former ambassador to Russia the FISA warrant is a big deal and apparently something they applied for months ago, were turned down, and had to reapply for with more evidence.

Funny in its presentation from Samantha Bee, but scary as shît from a brilliant Russian journalist, a lesbian who fled Putin's regime and has spoken a lot about this recently:

For the record, I think Gessen is both clear-eyed and very right about Trump and her country and potentially very wrong about how our nation will react - the United States does not have the history of institutionalized fascism that Russia does. Americans love being the ugly rebel. She is absolutely right that the only way out is to stay vigiliant and active.

well let's see......have a Universal Monster Marathon set (Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolf Man and the sequels), ID Channel....which has some good shows on all day..catching up on Y&R.....all after I come home from a fraternity brother's older brother's funeral. Starting off on a solemn note, bt great tv watching after that...so, if anyone can stomach what that creature says today (I saw pictures of the family's reactions to last night's concert.....they looked like they were walking the planks) please let me know. I thank you.

"Embarrassing" doesn't BEGIN to describe the lineup for the concert OR the turnout.  TrumpCo. knew they needed more A-Listers in order to legitimize both the concert and the transfer of power.  No doubt, Faux News and others will spin it as a record-smashing event.  Make no mistake, though, TrumpCo. knows the concert was a bad omen.

I've avoided most clips, gifs and any coverage or pre-inauguration concerts and I don't have on even a tv or online stream of anything at the moment but I yesterday, someone on social media posted a picture comparing 2009 pre-inaugural concert crowds to yesterday and in 2009, it was wall-to-wall people, meanwhile 2017, yesterday, was particularly sparse.

Anyhoo,

this article shows that although, the failure to close Guantánamo was technically a broken campaign promise, the Obama administration undertook a carefully thought out, very methodical, case-by-case approach to placing the prisoners in other places, most of the prisoners could not be repatriated and the administration had to find other countries willing to take them, while the prisoners themselves had to agree to go (a few wouldn't) to those countries.

President Obama inherited 242 detainees from the Bush administration. The Obama administration will leave 41 detainees to the Trump administration.

That...isn't saying much, lol.

Mama Khan is watching the inauguration on Faux News, so I'm listening (with my earbuds) to music on my iPad mini.  I'd much rather listen to the Cookies sing "Keep Your Hands Off My Baby" than FOB recite the presidential oath of office.

Here's how much debt the US government added under President Obama

https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/heres-much-debt-us-government-111000046.html

Based on the website USdebtclock.com, which extrapolates the US national debt in real time based on committed government spending, the debt will be roughly $19.97 trillion when President-elect Donald Trump takes office on Friday.

Thus, the national debt under Obama will have grown by about $9 trillion, or an increase of 86%.

    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).
