GH did a wonderful show for their 10,000th full of clips throughout the episode. Today's show was about rebuilding and healing in Pinve Valley after the tornado. They should have had several characters reflecting on the past. Erica, Joe/Ruth, Adam, Tad all could have been used for this since they've been around for most of whats gone down. I could easily have seen them work in flashbacks through them. I also thought they were going to do more with Aggie but her appearance was kind of a letdown.

Beautiful episode!

I also thought it was brilliantly directed. Angela Tessinari is AMC's best director, hands down.

I'm actually happy the episode was free of flashbacks. I love old clips, but AMC has used them a lot lately -- especially with all the past character returns.

Besides, I'm sure we'll get lots of old clips with the Myrtle tribute.

The episode in and of itself wasn't spectacular (considering it was written by the show's now-worst script writer), but the ending was wonderful and the concept was great. I had hoped Kate Hall would've written since she has proven, in my eyes, to be the show's best script writer, hitting a homerun her first time at bat over a year ago and has kept a steady pace ever since. But again, the concept was admirable (it was nice to see the tornado and its destruction be recognized) and the ending bringing tears to any fan's eyes was a given -- because it always happens whenever the poem is read. It reminds us of what us 10, 20+ year fans love about this particular soap opera.

I've hated Tad for close to ten years now... but I have to give him credit where credit is due for letting Adam come in for the moment of silence without any snark or childish insults. He was actually warm and inviting.

Thank God the Quad are in Puerto Rico, having no business being in today's episode. While I enjoy Annie, if not seeing her meant not seeing Aidan, Greenlee and Ryass, then that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

I really liked today's episode overall. BUT...Did anyone notice that they messed up the poem? I was like WTF?

I know I am worse than a Star Trek fan  ,.. but I know a lot about AMC and the history of the show.

They mixed up the order of the "AMC" poem, and left out the "In Sickness and in Health" line all together!

You would think with Agnes there, they would have at least gotten her poem correct!

Great show and very emotional. Loved seeing Erica, Jack, Adam, The Martin's and Jesse/Angie as the core members reminding us of the show's wonderful history.

Loved Jerica  I think this is a good sign for those of us who still love them.

I liked the Martin home scenes and Opal is a hoot. Too bad Palmer couldn't have been there.

I'm not a David fan but I do think he has chemistry with Amanda and Krystal so far. I still think Annie is the perfect woman for him though and hope they go that way.

Minor quibble, but I don't see why they made town founder Ghost Aggie from the late 1800s when it's always been established that PV had a rich pre-Revolutionary War history and the English family practically came over on the Mayflower. Not to mention the Chandler Mansion tunnels were part of the Underground railroad during the Civil War.

Agreed. Flashbacks work best when they're used to give context to a specific story, like Greg at J&A's wedding. Flashbacks for a show like this one would've turned it into one of those sitcom clip shows where someone says "Remember the time when we..." and the flashback plays.

    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!
