100 Greatest ABC Couples

Is this the editor's choices or the reader's choices?

This list just makes no sense to me. Adam & Liza came in at 90 while Adam & Krystal are at 79? WTF???

I am glad to see that couples from Ryan's Hope are on the list, but I would have put Roger & Delia in the top 20 at least.

Kevin and Lucy should be in the top 25, easy. Their placement so low turns me off of the entire list.

I also would have put Stefan and Laura and Ned and Alexis higher, but that's really just my personal love for both couples; I can admit that they weren't huge deals in their time. Kevin and Lucy, though? They were a BIG DEAL. They approached supercouple status on GH, and were popular enough that they were sent off to anchor their own show. That's a pretty huge achievement.

The crying shame is that Phil & Tara (AMC) and Steve & Audrey (GH) who were icons in their time are not higher.

Phil & Tara were the first truly successful young love story on any soap. They were high schoolers when AMC started. Jeff and Penny from ATWT were young lovers too but not as young as Phil & Tara were.

And then Steve & Audrey carried GH from 1964 to 1977. They were so popular.

I think so far ABC SID is doing better at recognizing all the shows from their network. Hell they even remembered EON. I just wonder if they will go back to pick up Dark Shadows though.

I would not be surprised if we see Robin/Liz have all 3 of their pairings very high on the list, all of their pairings had huge followings.

I expect to see all 3 of Robin's pairings in the top 20. I think Liz/Lucky(Jonathan Jackson's version) will be in the top 10--Their has not been a young couple on GH since L&L2 who gained so much buzz for the show and got a huge fanbase.

This list makes no sense.

Considering the heyday of the couples was the 1980s, how is it possible so so many of the 100 greatest couples were from the 1990s and beyond? This seems as credible as when magazines do lists of top movies of all time, and 80 out of the 100 all just happened to come out within the last 20 years.

I would be most interested to know what criteria was used to determine that Al and Marcia, Todd and Tea and Geogie and Dillon were all greater than Palmer and Daisy, just as an example, or Phoebe and Langley.

For me the bigger crime is that Zendull is ahead of Cliff and Nina and looks like they made the top 25. Rylee, Rendull, and Zendull should have been way down in the bottom 10 of this poll if anywhere near it. IMO

Cliff and Nina and many others on the list so far are worlds ahead of some who look like they will be in the top 25.

    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!
