February 23, 20251 yr Member I wonder how successful a FAST service devoted solely to re-airing old soaps would be. (I say FAST, because I, for one, abhor having to subscribe/pay money to watch TV shows, lol.) Edited February 23, 20251 yr by Khan

Prime canned it, which in turn I suspect is part of what led to the fall of the Neighbours revival.

Basically, what I'm talking about is SoapNet, but in app form, and not restricted to the ABC shows. Whatever is out there and available, including even old episodes of international soaps! They could call it "Sudz," or "Serial Bowl," or some [!@#$%^&*] like that. Edited February 23, 20251 yr by Khan

February 23, 20251 yr Member Dallas was on FreeVee. I still don't understand why Amazon got rid of it. Originally they made it seem like they were going to keep it but get rid of the name but they completely got rid of it. Even if those shows had low viewership, it would seem like having a subset of shows with commercials would've been better than nothing.

Dallas is still there, free with ads, which makes it all the stranger.

If you ask me - and I know you didn't, lol - I think Max is in deeper trouble than even they are letting on and that it's only a matter of time before the whole operation collapses and sold off for parts. Of course, this will mean the end of HBO and all traces of it. Edited February 23, 20251 yr by Khan

Since becoming Max, which I saw may be going under a rebrand soon, it's slow, media does not play well, and is just a forced-feeding of reality television from Discovery brands, etc.

There was literally nothing on there that we wanted to watch. Same went for Apple +, Hulu, Netflix, Paramount + and Peacock. It was all enough to make us reconsider trying out Disney +. So, now, my mom sticks with Tubi, while I stick with Pluto. Edited February 23, 20251 yr by Khan

I have a Starz/Max bundle and while I find Starz good for movies, I rarely use Max. On occasion I'll watch a movie there but the only thing I really enjoy is their food shows and true crime. If I wasn't getting a good deal on the bundle I wouldn't have it. I find I've been using Tubi a lot lately. I didn't realize just how vast and diverse their catalog was. I've never tried Pluto but I think I need to try that next in light of how much I've been enjoying Tubi.

Pluto has some good offerings like Twin Peaks, Dynasty, Family Ties, Mama's Family, etc. I only have Hulu as a paid service..and I still watch some programs on there.
